I would think "becomes usable in french toast quickly" would be a compliment, considering how delicious french toast is.

The reason people didn't take reggaetón seriously for over 20 years was rooted in systemic racial bias, I'm convinced of it.

One of the things I like to do when playing around with Jumpchain is trying to figure out ways to mess with people who I think need to be messed with.

For example, there is a Jump Document based on the Saw Franchise. It has the option to start in the bathroom from the first movie and you can just sort of manifest into the world at jump start depending on what options you chose, so it would be easy enough to just kick the crap out of Jigsaw while he's laying on the floor pretending to be a corpse...

...But there's also a document based on the Addams Family, which is just full of perks that would collectively make you immune to his mind games and turn all but the deadliest of his traps into a relaxing day at the spa.

So you do that document first, and...

Given said senior citizen is a serial killer, who kills people in really sadistic ways, and doesn't even bother followimg his own rules, yes.

Particularly considering he will explicitly go on killing, while inspiring a bunch of apprentices as long as he lives.

Not to mention his seemingly superhuman powers of Stockholm syndrome: All of his apprentices were victims of his traps that he nursed back to health, and there are like, two known victims who survived his traps and then didn't eventually come around to his way of thinking to some degree or another.

The worst part is that he somehow manages to miss the point of his own fricking philosophy: While there is a study with evidence that suffering and hardship motivates people and makes them appreciate life and the good things in it(60% of people, if the same was representative) that same study noted that in the case of extreme trauma, like say, a near-death experience 90% of people suffered crippling PTSD or other mental health issues—even if they otherwise benefited from the experience.

Not to mention that the near-death experience that made Kramer appreciate his own life more was one of his own creation that he only survived by a fluke and he came out more or less unscathed. The circumstances behind his "rebirth" and what he puts his victims through is as different as night and say.

...And then there are the times where the game was "put your life at risk in order to save these people who are either not involved or whose only crime is associated with you. They're not playing a game they'll just ****ing die if you don't save them."

...There was apparently a scene cut from the third movie, written but never filmed, where he realizes that he's only going to be remembered as a murderer and his apprentices are just going to kill people instead of trying to help him and that he ultimately did more harm than good even by his own twisted philosophy. Would have made for a better movie. Would have made him a god-damn person and not a walking Diabolus ex Machina.

Honestly, the more I think about it the more I'm thinking not to mess with him and just go in for the karma. There are at least two documents that let you be a Ghost Rider. Maybe see if Kramer can put his money where his mouth is. Make him experience everything he dished out and burn it into his soul so he can never forget.

    It's not just that.

It's the way the movies portray him as an invincible villain and, to a degree, present his philosophy as being correct.

Even when he gets killed, he still wins.

It'd be a differant story entirely if he was just some maniac who was presented as being wrong and then got some meaningful defeat.

He's also, in my opinion, not a likable villain, if you get what I mean. There's no style or class here, no struggle on his part. He just wins.

There are people who watch these movies and come away with the idea that Jigsaw was right when.

I don't know where you get serial killer from. He's clearly not. All he does is kidnap people and place them in elaborate death traps they would have a slim chance of surviving if they don't die from blood loss or shock beforehand. It'd hold up in court.

Besides, those people deserved it. They were after all guilty of horrible crimes such as; being in abusive relationships, taking anti-depressants, smoking, being married to someone who fabricated their autobiography, and being capable forensic investigators. The heck with them.

They're honestly really good (the first six, anyway) in a B-movie grindhouse sorta way. It's sadistic horror, no doubt, but it works where something like Hostel doesn't cos those movies were just flimsy pretences for mutilation. In Saw the deathtraps are borderline sci fi and stylised to the point of absurdity. Plus they make an actual attempt at social commentary. Not especially deep or groundbreaking social commentary, but you really can't say "America's healthcare system is horrific" often enough.

I don't actually agree with the sentiment that the movies are sympathetic to Jigsaw and his cause and many of them go out of their way to express that the survivors of his traps live horrible traumatised lives. Saw VII, as astonishingly poor as it was, was a big treatise on how corrosive and short-sighted his philosophy is. He only keeps winning cos, hey, it's a horror movie. It's a cynical genre, even before you put in this franchises' adoration for twists based on dramatic ironies.

His apprentices are all people who survived his games, except like one guy. People he victimized come around to his way of thinking, with the exception of the one who killed him... Which was a victory on Jigsaw's part becuase "will you forgive me" was part of the game.

The best one is the first one, which has an actually interesting plot twist and is focused more on psychology than gore—the games are basically just an Escape Room for keeps.

Yeah I wouldn't say the Saw movies portray Amanda or Mark or Dr. Gordon whoever that loser was in Jigsaw as reformed. I mean, Mark and Amanda especially are as cartoonishly ridiculously evil as fictional characters get. Not sure acting like Starscream with a possessive streak is a ringing endorsement of Jigsaw's methods.

I'd have imagined that saving people who need to be saved would be more up your alley. Spider-Man instead of Punisher, ya know?

    I can do both.

But, honestly? This is a game, and figuring out how to mess with people who I think need messing with is fun. If I somehow ended doing this for real... I'd either mostly be helping people and trying to make for better stories than what I got...

While I'm nowhere near as familiar with it as you, I would say that from all my experiences with them, a major theme of both Spider-Man and Punisher is that you can't do both.
