I wonder if "Olhelm" is really who we think, or if he got power as well or is somehow now linked to whatever is doing this.
Methinks the increasing area of effect isn't William directly, but whatever is using/causing this.

FYI: these thoughts are in 5404's head, too, but I didn't feel a good way to put them in stream-of-consciousness. Part of his asking about power use is to get info that might help with Hagerty's getting an idea how to stop the cycle.
I just couldn't phrase it well IC.

It is kind of suspicious that everyone besides William and Olhelm disappeared the night William received his powers. Though Olhelm has openly disagreed with William without any retaliation. So I don't think Olhelm is the true master mind, but he certainly could be withholding some more information.
