D&D 5e Subclass contest XXXIII: Bigger is better Voting Thread
Okay, before you can review these awesome subclasses, keep in mind a few things:
You can only vote for three people. You can give honorable mentions though.
Having somone's first place vote nets you three points a second place vote nets you two and a third place vote earns you one point. You can also vote for themes, with your first place theme getting two points and 2nd place theme getting one. However, since last time there was a tie, we are going to be doing I read this in a book once (Subclasses that are based off of media of some sort) as the theme for the next subclass.
Voting ends on Saturday, November 12th.
I Read this in a Book, Once: Subclasses based off of books, movies, manga, video games, tv shows, comic books, etc. you have seen. 1 Bonus point if you make a stat block for a character from that game.
If I die or lose my PC or something else that prevents me from posting, I would like animorte to close this thread then.
Can someone make the table with the authors and subclasses like they did last time, I am still not sure how to do it.Last edited by Psyche; 2022-11-03 at 08:05 AM.

Re: D&D 5e Subclass contest XXXIII: Bigger is better Voting Thread
I'd also like to give an honorable mention to the Cosmic Lord subclass. While I didn't rate it quite as highly as my three picks above, I enjoyed the hints of world-building behind it and I'm curious how the other origins mentioned might play off each other in a custom setting. I enjoyed reading all the subclasses presented, but I wanted to give that one a specific shout-out.

Re: D&D 5e Subclass contest XXXIII: Bigger is better Voting Thread
1. School of Lifeshaping: Spell investing is such a neat concept that I would love to see in the game.
2. Kaiju Tamer: The aquatic concept was maintained very well on this solid template of a better Ranger’s companion.
3. Legend Stalker: Judgement based on strong emotion; I absolutely adore Crippling Strikes.
Honorable mention: The Heavy is a nice ideal of what a front-liner should aspire to, reliable without being too complex.

- Legend Stalker. Yay, 3.5e ambush feats.
- The Heavy. An elegant approach to dedicated frontliner.
- School of Topology. I love the idea, more so that it quite difficult to execute.
Unfortunately, I myself got so buried in RL responsibilities that I couldn't manage to get my concept working in time.

Re: D&D 5e Subclass contest XXXIII: Bigger is better Voting Thread
Oh no, I forgot to vote!
I would have voted for the Legend Stalker for first place anyhow -- barring some minor number issues, I thought it was a well-designed class mechanic that seems like it'd work in a lot of circumstances. So my vote would not have changed the outcome much, anyhow.
I would like to throw out an honorable mention to @D&D_Fan for their first contest entry. Hope to see you here again!
