The way the device works seems to inherently make it more prone to such malfunctions. Getting electrocuted by existing devices by accident is not unheard of, and those devices aren't directly meant to electrecude you. If movies and tv shows haven't lied to me, dropping a toaster into a bathtub with someone in it will kill him, and this device sounds like it will require much more electricity.
