Marius moves southward to the southernmost door on the western wall and slams the hammerhead of his polearm against the door, attempting to break it down with supernatural speed.

Should Marius damage the door enough to see beyond it, he calls out "He's here!" or "He's not here!" depending on whether or not he sees the Splatter Man in the room beyond.

    Spoiler: OoC
    Show
Note: A lot of this turn revolves around the exact functioning of the Harbinger's Dark Claim ability, particularly the second clause dealing with knowing a claimed creature's location.
    • I interpret this clause to mean that Marius starts his turn knowing the precise square in which the Splatter Man currently is, even without line of sight, beyond what all the other PCs know from their vision alone. The would mean that Marius can try to move toward the ghost's precise location but that the ghost still has concealment until Marius can directly see him again.
    • If my interpretation of that rule is incorrect, then my second set of listed actions will take effect instead. I do ask for a rules clarification in that case so that I know how the locating half of this ability works in the future.

If Marius' Dark Claim means he knows where the Splatter Man is...
    • Free: use Dark Claim to know the exact square where the Splatter Man is + call out to the party his best guess of which door leads to that spot, using either memory or Kn (engineering) to make that guess
    • Move: move to that door
    • Standard: Temporal Burn, targeting the door
      • Risky Strike Attack Roll: (1d20+8)[9]
        • CMB (if CMB is required for this maneuver because of sundering, instead of attack roll): (1d20+9)[19] (using Dex per Elephant Feat Tax rules)

      • Damage: (1d12+3)[12] + (2d6)[10], ignores hardness (-2 dmg from losing risky if CMB was required instead)

    • Free: Marius calls out to the party that he has or has not found the Splatter Man

If Marius' Dark Claim means he does not know where the Splatter Man is (beyond what all PCs saw when he moved away)...
    • Free: use Dark Claim to learn whatever he can about the Splatter Man's location + call that information out to the party
    • Move: move 20 feet south, avoiding falling into the pit as he goes
    • Temporal Burn, targeting the door
    • Risky Strike Attack Roll: (1d20+8)[13]
      • CMB (if CMB is required for this maneuver because of sundering, instead of attack roll): (1d20+9)[11] (using Dex per Elephant Feat Tax rules)
      • Damage: (1d12+3)[5] + (2d6)[11], ignores hardness (-2 dmg from losing risky if CMB was required instead)

R13T12: Marius moves southward to the southernmost door on the western wall and swings the hammerhead of his polearm with supernatural speed in a miss, nearly toppling over himself. He calls out, "He's here!" sensing the Splatter Man in the room beyond.

R13T10: Wren hustles ... moving south along the eastern side of the oubliette, then west, dipping south of Marius to nearly the far southwestern corner and then upwards through a hole in the cell wall. "Right here! In this cell outside Marius' door!"

R15T13.2: Alexandru moves south after deciding to see what he can do with this guy... He brings his sword to bear and swings at the Splatter-Man, sword going right through the chest for a relatively mighty 7 mod.

R15T13: The Splatter-Man takes a quick jaunt west through the wall, quickly enough to keep anyone from being able to hit him, and through the cell door casting is briefly heard.

R15T12: Marius, what do you do now that the Splatter Man again evades your immediate reach by being on the other side of a wall? You are in aura of misfortune stance, have strong WIS damage, ant haul is still working, and you have polearm and shield readied in hand.

Marius weaves southwest to be directly south of the southernmost western cell, looking for the hole by which Wren earlier saw the Splatter Man.

Spoiler: If Marius can easily fit through that opening
    Show
Marius then walks through the opening, squeezing past any tight spots as necessary, and advances on the Splatter Man. He then lunges at the ghost again with his polearm, calling out, "The southern wall's cracked! I've found him"

Spoiler: If Marius cannot easily fit through that opening
    Show
Marius looks through the opening, frustrated by its small size. "I can't reach him here!" he calls out with irritation. Marius then stalks back into the main area, positioning himself directly south of Lexi, ready to impale any monsters that come near.

    Spoiler: OoC Breakdown
    Show
Move: 5' southwest, 5' west... and using remaining 30 feet of movement to enter the hole (if possible) and move within polearm attack distance of the Splatter Man. Marius relies on his dark claim to better locate and chase after the Splatter Man, if necessary.
    • If Marius cannot fit through the western wall's southern hole normally or by squeezing through, he gives up on this strategy and uses the remaining 30 feet to move back into the main area, directly south of Lexi. Marius will not choose to remain in a squeezed space, but he will try to attack the ghost through the hole, if the ghost is close enough for that.

Standard (if Marius can get into polearm range of a monster): risky strike attack (1d20+8)[9], damage (1d12+3)[13]

Immediate (if triggered): Bad Karma counter vs the first hostile creature to target him with a spell, attack, ability, etc.

AoO (if triggered by any enemy): risky strike attack (1d20+8)[18], damage (1d12+3)[11]

R15T12: Marius weaves southwest to be directly south of the southernmost western cell, looking for the hole by which Wren earlier saw the Splatter Man. He has to feel around to find. Then, in complete darkness he steps through, feeling against the western wall, only to bump into a wall to the north a few feet in. He doesn't sense the Splatter Man, as his dark claim on the fell creature lapsed prior to this point.

R15T10: Realizing Marius just went strolling into the darkness, Wren moves after him. He enters the cell - which is now lit up with the light on his lab coat - and says to Marius, "You have to be aware of where your light is, man, or the Splatter Man will get you. Darkness is his ally."

There is no Splatter Man in this cell.
