Edit: You know, having two Sturdy pokemon is kinda nice when you need to stall.

Edit 2: Does Connie have Haze right now? This big, stompy dragon popping in with all the stat buffs in the universe has made me realize how nice reactively resetting everyone to neutral could be.

Nope. She had Snarl, Twister, Swift, Wing Attack, Nasty Plot, and Swagger when she joined up with Less, and so far he's replaced her Twister with U-Turn. That said, a +6 Swift should make some progress, if need comes to it.

That said, if this is a full on Officer Mark is so screwed.

Yes. Buck is safe, or at least as safe as can be in the depths of enemy territory.

EDIT: Did one of the goons call out multiple Pokemon? I ask because Mina's Cosmos got one of the goons, but they sent out the same number of Pokemon as they had out before.

Several of them did, it's not a one Pokémon per goon thing for this fight. This is somewhat OoC knowledge for you guys, but they've had some time to organize.

It's not a terrible idea, but Connie has a mostly functional movement at the moment, and Princess, Leo, and Buck don't. So gotta fix that before tackling Connie's.

Same for me with overwriting Calm Mind on Tattersail instead of Lucky Chant. It wouldn't have helped her here, but just letting her deal enough damage to a high-priority threat and letting her special-defense + evasion tank would be great.

Edit: Oh. One other thing to add, since this whole thing was a shadow pokemon rescue mission, I've been watching the Jello Apocalypse playthrough of XD Gale of Darkness... The writing in that game has been a thing that happened.

Edit 2: One of the Cypher grunt's names is literally "Gromlet." GROMLET. Oh my god the people who localized this game had a ball with the names.

KI, I think you missed that Connie critically hit both Gravlers last round (Super Luck), not that it has much of an effect when they were already being hit for 300+ damage each.

You are correct, should be fixed now. And wow, so did Ronin. I think that Graveler is going to be more gravel than Pokémon after this fight.

Didn't see gen 6 is where they removed the accuracy component too because my eyes glazed over.

... Good luck gents and DMPC. Mark is officially out of that fight unless Mina for some reason teleports back with Natu to get him, and if I'm right about shadow tag then fighting the taskmaster could very well make even that impossible.

So... I'm just saying it now: The Pokemon X/Y psychic gym is, by far, the coolest gym in any pokemon game. At least so far, haven't completed Y just yet so not sure if even more awesomeness is still to come. I'm teleporting between platforms of solidified psychic energy IN SPACE, with constellations and shooting stars in the background. And it was introduced by the gym you were standing in exploding once you stepped into the central mat.

I have become infinitely more disappointed in every gym from the later games. None of them have nearly the sense of scale that this game seems to have mastered. Now if only Team Flare wasn't a joke of a villain, so I could take them even slightly seriously.

It’s not a set amount of time (in part so I have some flexibility syncing differently groups up) but in general the rounds of bigger fights take longer.

This isn't to say you should trust in the DM's mercy, however. I'm 90% sure that Mina would have teleported directly back to the pokemon center if Mark hadn't spoken up, as punishment for not thinking things through as we noped the heck out.

... HMMMM... you know. Maybe we should cover our bases. Maybe someone in samurai armor, I'm not naming names or saying who, but someone who has a defining character trait of "is always wearing samurai armor around like a dork" should make sure they are in position to guard/ intercept attacks against Mina's Natu. You know. Just in case some demon hedgehog was sent ahead of the taskmaster to hunt other teleporting psychic types.
