A glance behind him to shrug Akif moves forwards "No more gardens here" he mutters as he advances into the room, shield ready and fist clenched.

The room is dark, and Akif sees no more of it than he did behind the door jamb.

In the darkness Akif pauses and raise a hand. Holding it out he ignites a cool blue light to help him see and he then attaches the blue light to the front of his shield.

Akif casts light on his shield and looks around the room

This large room has a staircase in the corner and several overstuffed armchairs facing each other on a large and ornate rug. Along the walls stand various cases or hangers displaying an assortment of strange trophies, such as a spear with a glass reservoir at the end, a small mannequin elaborately carved from bone or ivory, a marble lion head, and a number of framed schematic drawings.

"Well, anything worth seeing brother?" Sisir asks, seeing his brother light up the room. He walks up behind Akif before saying with a grin "Get a move on, I'm right behind you, two are better than one when investigating a room after all."

Akif

Akif advanced to the centre of the room and looked around shining a light into each corner. ”Nothing to note here, of if it is I cannot see it.” He moves to the far side to stand near the exit and allow the others to look around the room in more detail.

As Akif moves in and looks around, he notices something has changed from when he first stepped in. There was a little bone doll that was displayed, but it's not there anymore.

After Brother Akif says there is nothing see, Iluvar moves in to look around the area

Akif

Akif spins around and cautiously walks towards where he last saw the doll, a low growling "And where did you go little thing" as he peers around the area where it had last been.

[Tippnick]

"What little thing are you talking about?", Iluvar asks.

[DrK]

Akif

Still peering around Akif glances at Iluvar, "A small thing. Like a doll a human child would play with. It may have fallen" and he mimics his shambling feet suggesting he could have just caused a disruption with his bulk "" But I feel uneasy here and I would like to be sure."

Myki and The Scribe enter, leaving Sisir in the previous room.

Having let everyone pass him into the room, Sisir enters the room. Seeing that nobody seems to be investigating the eastern hall, he moves in that direction.

Sisir moves past The Scribe and to the edge of area A12. One wall of this hallway is covered in an elaborate mural of a pastoral landscape in which every object—trees, animals, and even people—is its own clockwork mechanism of exposed gears and belts.

Surprise Round ...

Something suddenly bites Akif's left foot with an oversized pair of jaws 20 mod + grabbed!

R1T29: The Scribe laughs. He can't help himself, but then covers by telling a story of brave Pathfinders who fared well against a race of small creatures in a spelunking expedition. It is both inspiring and comical, heartening the efforts of his friends. "It's a tupilaq, a type of scrimshaw construct, not undead," he adds while getting into a mixture of style and stance and moves around a chair to threaten the doll with his ranseur.

R1T22: Myki rushes past Iluvar while drawing her rapier, studies the tupilaq and puts some special reagent on her blade. She stabs it for 9 mod + sickened.

R1T19: Akif, you have a scrimshaw doll with an oversized jaw grabbing your feet. What do you do?

Akif looks down in surprise as he feels the sudden sharp pain in his foot. "Ah, a foot snatcher, get it off me." he exclaims loudly as he raises the shield and smashes it down with extreme prejudice before seeking to kick it off with the other foot.

R1T19: Akif looks down in surprise as he feels the sudden sharp pain in his foot. "Ah, a foot snatcher! Get it off me!" he exclaims loudly as he raises the shield and smashes it down with extreme prejudice for 14 mod. While a solid strike with the shield, Akif finds that he doesn't have the proper body alignment while grappled for either the maneuver he attempted or for entering his stance.

Sisir laughs, saying "always getting into trouble little brother, even on the job. Well, I'm sure you have it well in hand." Sisir then advances down the eastern hallway, cautiously and with his weapon and shield drawn, ready to strike should an enemy appear.

Move Action: Move 20' east, and if nothing there's nothing obviously hostile, 10' North, otherwise 10' towards the hostile.

Swift Action: If a hostile appears, activate Hypnotic Stare on them, they take -3 to Will Saves and Attack Rolls. If the target is immune to mind-affecting effects, then it +2 to any related saves and have a 50% chance to ignore the Stare's effect every round.

Standard Action: Attack anything that enters his range with his mace, and if nothing appears in the next room, ready an action to attack anything that enters his range.

Attack Roll #1: (1d20+14)[33]Damage Roll #1: (2d6+8)[16] Bludgeoning damage and if Hypnotic Stare is applied to the target then trigger the first Painful Stare of the round dealing (2d6+4)[10] Precision damage and forcing a DC 20 Will Save vs becoming Confused for 1 round, for which it rolls twice to determine its actions while confused, and I choose which roll to use.


Tricks: If anyone with Mask Misery implanted become affected by any moderate condition as defined by Touch Treatment, activate Mask Misery. Tricks do not require Line of Sight to activate, and Sisir knows if their triggering condition is met, but any effects that interfere with telepathy block the activation of tricks.


Other: Should Sisir fail to trigger Painful Stare twice on his own turn, he will attempt to trigger it any time the target of his Hypnotic Stare gets hit before his next turn, up to a maximum of two time in the round. Every such activation will deal 4 precision damage, and force the same save vs confusion as above.


Confusion Preferences In Order: attack self, do nothing, attack nearest, act normally.

Once at the end of the hallway, he hadn't set up a light himself, relaying on his brother.

R1T13: Somehow, the little tupilaq keeps on Akif's foot with a tenacious bite for 17 mod.

End Round One, Begin Round 2 ...

R2T29: The Scribe continues his oration of Pathfinders preceding and studies the creature further for his own purposes. He then attacks with his polearm twice. Both strikes hit but the weapon damage seems completely stopped by the hardened bone, though it still takes 9 fire from the combined strikes.

R2T25: Iluvar, what do you do?

R2T25: Iluvar continues the attack, but seeing the sturdy being's ability to take damage he quickly sends a plea for help to Pharasma. His first attack is wild and embarrassing, but he quickly rallies. He curb stomps the tupilaq on his next attack for 19 mod before missing again with his iterative.

R2T22: Myki misses wildly on the first, and then on the second misses wildly again. She hits the solid wall, and that flexes her tendons badly as she takes 3 STR and drops her weapon from the pain. She then steps away while holding her injured wrist.

R2T19: Akif, what do you do? Your foot is still grabbed by the doll.

The slightly smiling, joking expression fades as it continues to savage his foot and he grunts in pain at the little teeth. "This is no longer funny..." he grunts as he smashes down with all his force twice with the rim of the shield.

R2T13: The tupilaq can no longer maintain its grip as Akif kicks it off of him, and the bone doll steps north into the little alcove.
