(IC IV) San Francisco by Night: A Requiem in Fog

Anna fed, and then slipped back into the hallway to seek similar patients. It was slow going, given that it was still relatively early, and nearly an hour passed before she had satisfactorily slaked her thirst.

(OOC: Anna's BP is up to 9/10. With only one success, it takes her about an hour to finish her hunt)

Relying on her powers in remaining hidden, she walks through the lonely hallways of the hospital back to the entrance and out into the chill night air.

Rachel heads back to her own Haven, grateful for the opportunity to wash and change. She calls Sophie, who picks up after just a few rings. "Rachel dear," she says, her voice warm but slightly hushed, "please tell me you have remained safe. Things have been crazy the last couple of nights!"

(OOC: Also happy to time warp Rachel getting to her date as well if you want, just wanted to make sure you got to use the time in the night that you had before rushing to a midnight date)

Tony (The Prince's Childe) listens to Karl, his expression remaining dark and uncharacteristically serious. "I agree," he says, "Assuming Nova is now our enemy, it is likely she will make her move soon. It makes sense but... I can also feel it... like the Beast can sense the danger." His eyes go distant for a moment before Tony comes back to himself.

To Karl's question about Saul, he nods his head. "Yes, I had some help, but we pried the information we needed out of his skull. As far as I can tell it looks like The Carthians from the top down are ready to go to war. Maybe not every member of the Covenant, but must of their leadership. As you can guess, they are coordinating with other Rabble from other cities. Maybe not just Hutton, but that mad freak down in Los Angeles too!" Tony shakes his head, his temper clearly rising, though there is something other than anger in his eyes. Something like fear. He says sternly, "Again, I need you focus on stopping any more Carthian attacks, and finding out just what the hell is going on with Nova. And to that, I might have just a little bit of information for you. It sounds like Nova has set up a war Haven down in South San Francisco. I can't say you will find her there, but she's apparently set up at a record store of all things. It's called Vital Revolutions."

'Well safe is relative at the moment.' Rachel appreciated having someone she could be relatively honest around. 'I seem to have responsibilities now that put me in the middle of all the mess. Personally I would be happy to leave them to get on with it but I feel the Prince would be unhappy if everything falls apart while he's away. Have you had any trouble personally?' Rachel knew Sophie could handle herself if neccessary.

Sophie's raspy laugh greets Rachel's reply. "So I take it you ended up taking that position with the Hounds then," she says still chuckling. To Rachel's question, she replies, "Me? I do my best to stay out of trouble. Don't you worry about me dear.... but I assume you didn't just call to check in."

Anna manages to make her way back up to Seacliff. She's waved through The Prince's gate, and is directed to park behind Karl's vehicle. Soon she is being admitted into the haven, where Tony stands speaking to Karl and Gabe with marked agitation.

"Who can we count on as allies? Aside from members of the Spear who were attacked?" Anna asked as she arrived, "and did that primogen meeting between the Spear and the Carthians ever happen?"

She glanced around.
"Is Rachel coming tonight?" she asked.

'I think me being counted as a Hound is rather up to the Prince, but on the other hand I don't see why he'd say no at this point. Feel free to let me know if I can be helpful with anything in relation to that.' Rachel had no idea what she could get away with but was curious to see. 'And I haven't forgotten about that thing we discussed before. I just have to do something that might get Mother to trust me a little more first.'

And for the reason that she was calling. 'Things are getting political.' Rachel spits the word out. 'I met the Prince of Oakland the other night. He seems to be behind some of the current troubles. It's just my luck that this is happening now when there's more of a chance that I"ll get caught up in it.'

'Karl suggested earlier that I should be careful. If someone actually manages to kill me I've probably ****ed up enough to deserve it, but that suggests I should probably take some precautions. I've told you what happened to my old Haven back in London. If the worst happens how would you be with me sheltering at your place?'
