That's why I put it in quotes. Kalamar has the only books published entirely independently from wotc that are still Official "Dungeons and Dragons" rather than D20 system.

What prestige class sets your level to 1?

May I remind you to label any request pertaining to a 3rd party prestige class? I understand Kingdom of Kalamar is a bit on the edge but it would prevent a lot of confusion. A simple "3rd party: What PrC ------?" for classes only printed for Dragon Magazine content (not reprinted in Dragon Compendium), Dragonlance (except DCS), Kingdoms of Kalamar, Ravenloft, Planescape, Dark Sun, anything by Dreamscarred Press or any other d20 system books would make the whole thing more palateable for everyone.
Same thing for Pathfinder. "Pathfinder: What PrC -------?".

Correct. I believe the magazine version was over 10 levels, but when it got reprinted in the Shackled City hardcover (which shares the same "official" status as Dragon Compendium, I believe) it was condensed to 5.
