Okay. I'm moving the chat to here. I talked over some world building in the Discord, but I'm nit sure we want to use that for the game.

Ideas discussed-

1) This world is a fantastic version of late 1st Millennium western Europe, with mythological beasts taking the place of human nobles.

2)Our Dragons represent a pact of various interests trying to reunify society to return it to a golden age of competent, effective governance.

Well, this is Shadrix Silverquill, which I think is bigger than Axeszanyreth.


Well, this is a calligraphy wyrm from D&D, which is obviously much smaller than Axeszanyreth.


And I guess the East Asia art of blending calligraphy and painting is where all this weird "ink dragon" idea comes from. And this is probably the shape Axeszanyreth will take...

The highlights-

This area used to be a Unified empire under a Demigod named Sargelus. He died 120 years ago, leaving three claimants. The living situation for veryone in the area since declined, and the two are not unrelated.

You represent a group of dragons, who are basically the equivalent of high level nobles (Dukes, Bishops, etc) in this Empire. You want to set things on a better course, probably by Installing Tianzhu as a new Emperor.

Hmm, wanted to learn more (e.g. what are the other claimants, and whether Sargelus was also a minotaur). I wanted to ask these questions in IC, but it would be a bit weird if these are common knowledge in-universe.

Sargelus was a Demigod who surpassed all limits of form and appeared to each viewer according to his will.

The three claimants are a Minotaur, a Doppelganger, and a Rakshasa. Each controls a large city and the surroundings spread out through the Empire.

Fair. And thanks for being honest. I'm willing to negotiate and incorporate Improvisation from the party. But the basic premise is "you are a powerful dragon in a divided empire being attacked by Centaurs. The local regional king is doing less than nothing to help."
