Infusions and targeting
Infusions: An artificer is not a spellcaster, but he does have the ability to imbue items with magical infusions. Infusions are neither arcane nor divine; they are drawn from the artificer infusion list (see Chapter 5: Magic). They function just like spells and follow all the rules for spells. An artificer's infusions can only be imbued into an item or a construct (including warforged). He cannot, for example, simply imbue an ally with bull's strength. He must instead imbue that ability into an item his ally is wearing. The item then functions as a belt of giant strength for the duration of the infusion. He can, however, imbue bull's strength directly on a construct or a character with the living construct subtype, and infusions such as repair light damage and iron construct function only when imbued on such characters.
But how am I supposed to handle infusions like Minor Creation, Move Earth, and Blade Barrier? Do they act as 'regular' spells or do I need to cast them on items anyway (obtaining a Shovel of Earth Moving or Jar of Poison Creation)? If so, are there any rules for how those items function, because I can't come up with any way to incorporate Blade Barrier into an item that isn't both grisly and overpowered.
Similarly, when casting Globe of Invulnerability, the spell normally takes effect in a sphere centered on the caster. Is it now centered on an item? Will it move with that item?Creator of the LA-assignment thread.

Re: Infusions and targeting
The real question is, if you infuse your Warforged buddy with Blade Barrier, are they stuck in the barrier for the duration? Or do they become a mobile wall of buzzsaws? Do they take damage?
