Grathar crosses the portal into the tower ruins proper. Meanwhile, at the same time, Mordren - who understood Grathar's warning - can just barely see the goblin way to the northwest.

"Uh huh..." Aroden mutters, shaking his head slightly, "Am I, ah, clear to cross the hallway?"

He nods northward.

Mordren shrugs "We need to cross regardless, but to answer your question there is at least one hostile hiding over there." procedes to point at the goblin

Aroden follows her finger, squinting and gazing off into the darkness, nodding curiously and muttering, "Ahhh, clever they think they are, but no match for our powers of perception!"

He casts his gaze around again, though able to see nothing, he inhales and hustles across the open hall.

S12: Aroden winces in pain as something strikes him in the right upper arm for 10! "Bree-Yark!" comes a battle cry to the west.

R1T21: Aroden, you were too surprised to protect yourself from that unseen arrow that struck. It tore through bicep, tricep, and must've struck the artery, because already you are feeling woozy. What do you do? You are holding a lit torch in one hand, and nothing in the other.

"DAMMIT ALL TO HELL!" Aroden screams as he collapses against the north wall, following with a few more colorful invectives that he shouts both rapidly and unintelligibly, before, already visibly exhausted, he glances over to Bríg and back away, muttering only, "A little help..."

Gripping his sword and torch, he readies himself for whatever may leap from the shadows.

Aroden will enter Malignant Punisher Stance (+1 dodge to AC, other thing) as a SwA, and enter total defence as a Standard Action. No other actions.

Conditionals:
- Will use Oaken Shield as an immediate action if he is attacked
- If he is attacked and the attacker misses, he well attempt a sense motive check to retaliate per malignant punisher
- He will use his mirror tricks as needed

Muttering to herself, "damn ambush tactics", Bríg breaths in, and breathes out, smoke billowing out behind her, rising to the ceiling. Waving her hand, a light shower of rain falls on Aroden, the blood washes away and his wound begins to close. She then cautiously moves deeper in.

R1T16: Muttering to herself, "damn ambush tactics", Bríg breaths in, and breathes out, smoke billowing out behind her, rising to the ceiling. Waving her hand, a light shower of rain falls on Aroden, the blood washes away and his wound begins to close (8 healing). She then cautiously moves deeper in, but doesn't get quite as far as she had hoped, considering she is reacquainted with the difficult terrain of the rubble of the tower ruins.

R1T15: Goblin Gold adjusts and shoots at Grathar, missing.

R1T14: Reiko takes a dangerous gamble. Moving among the pools of lights she gets up to Grathar - now dangerously exposed to the goblin archers she cannot see - and slashes the right shin of the goblin commando with her wakizashi for 7.

R1T12: The goblin commando withdraws farther into the turret.

End Round One, Begin Round 2 ...

R2T24: It's not much armor, but it seems Reiko's haramaki is enough to stop an arrow she didn't see today. Goblin Green curses its failed shot and pulls back a little.

R2T22: Mordren, what do you do?

Aroden on deck, Grathar in the hole ...

Mordren steps into the chamber and fires a Magic missile at the first goblin she lays eyes on. if no goblins in sight/range cast Shield.

R2T21: Aroden, ohhhhh, soo much better. Bríg's storm soaked you, but it was warm and misty and you feel grand now minus some cramping and soreness. It did get the torch wet, but as little light as the torch throws out right now, it's not like it made it any worse. What do you do?

"Alright!" Aroden yells, revitalized, as one of the goblins retreat northward out of Grathar's torchlight, "Keep that coming and we'll push them back!"

Taking a deep breath, he ducks out from around the corner and plunges forward.

Moving to follow her colleagues and the sounds of fighting, Bríg continues her cautious advance, coming to a stop behind Reiko. Upon sighting the enemy, she gestures, summoning a burning ball of ashes to strike the goblin.

R2T15: Goblin Gold drops his bow, readies his shield, and likewise takes out his short sword.

R2T14: Reiko points her hand over Aroden's shoulder and lets loose with a thin black beam that misses Goblin Gold and goes off into the darkness to the north.

R3T24: An arrow comes out of the darkness from the northeast to surprise Aroden, nicking his upper left leg for 1.

"Hragh!" He cries, bringing his sword around, lightly tapping the new goblin's shield, before whipping the blade around to stab through an exposed flank.

R3T16: Repositioning to behind Reiko, Bríg lets loose with her storm powers, with smoke wafting through the air and sparks flying about. She directs one to plummet to strike Goblin Blue in the upper right arm for 5 + 2 fire + burning! Goblin Blue drops, now on fire and unmoving.

R3T14: Reiko delays ...

R3T12: A small, clunky polearm thrusts out from the door to completely sink into Bríg's side for 12 mod (+2d6 bleed)! She never saw it coming, and only her special magic kept her from being dropped in one shot, but it looks like the main aortic line was struck.
