I'll vote for MitD XIX: The Potted Plant Is Starting To Look Reasonable.
I made a webcomic, featuring absurdity, terrible art, and alleged morals.

Yeah… we'll have to ask the DM about that. As I read the rules, the Umbral blot doesn't have specific resistance to its own disintegration ability. It has no constitution score, and normally you'd think that means it isn't affected. But what the rules actually say is “A creature with no Constitution […] is immune to any effect that requires a Fortitude save unless the effect works on objects or is harmless.”. The blot's disintegration ability does work on objects. Umbral blots probably don't live for very long.

Update: if you ask why anyone would stat a creature that is destroyed by its own touch, I point to the armored robot from Pixar's The Incredibles that the heroes destroy by making it touch itself with its destructive drill hand.

Oh, it's worse than that. An umbral blot's spell immunity sneaks in "it is immune to disintegration spells and variations thereof", but the disintegrating touch is (Ex) so it's not even magical; is it still supposed to be treated as a variation of a disintegration spell?

    You're right. That's hilarious.

Inkyrius might as well mean demons by demons (some of those are into this possessing people thing; think Loumaras).

At any rate, we are not talking apprentice bakers here. We are talking a guy who, based on very clear visual clues, should actually have Knowledge (the planes) as a class skill.

I feel like this is a sign I should reference the 80 year old farmer who was told that most accidents happen within 25 miles of home, so he moved to the city.
