I'd rather be too hot, because it would be a nice change of pace from being cold all the time.

(When I was visiting friends once in the middle of the summer, they were amazed that I manage to still have ice-cold skin after... well, it clearly wasn't long enough in the warm summer sun. But they still wouldn't turn the AC down when we went inside!)

I could probably bring it up next physical I have, yes. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if it's just something that will be added to my list of "so at first glance I was concerned, but the results say you're healthy." Which, y'know, that first part's always what you want to hear.

Could be low blood pressure, if it's more of an extremities thing. Unless it's hot out or I'm heavily dressed, my hands and feet are frozen, even if I'm perfectly fine otherwise.

It's definitely something I'd bring up, because from my (limited) knowledge some of the causes of always feeling cold like that have pretty easy fixes. Why be uncomfortable if it's something you can easily fix?

And IMO if it's NOT something you can easily fix, it's still better to be aware of it.

I have a very weirdly built body where some muscles are stronger than they should be and others are weaker than they should be.

So I'm physically very weak but there are some very specific types of physical exertion that I excel at to a disproportionate degree.

I honestly don't understand how it works, I might be some kind of mutant.

Though I do seem to have a disproportionally strong abdomen. In both high school and middle school whenever it was weight room day I consistently had the best results on machines that targeted the core.

There was one machine where you were strapped into a chair that was reclined back and you'd do a crunch motion which would bend the backrest and that would lift a set of weights. I liked that machine. It was fun. The way it was set up I could easily see how much weight I was lifting, the numbers on the stack and everything. And it made a satisfying "click-click-click-click" sound while you were using it.

I used to joke that I had a six-pack hiding inside a keg. Certainly an exaggeration, but...

Thinking it over... I genuine feel that I'd be in better shape if Gym class in middle and high school had spent more time in the weight and cardio rooms and less time running laps until exhausted and then playing sports.

The weight and cardio rooms were air-conditioned and the machines all provided some kind of feedback that would, in theory, let you monitor your own progress if only by comparing how much weight you were able to lift on a given machine or how long it took you to reach the equivalent of a mile on the treadmill.

Not to mention the focus on actual fitness rather than superficial performances.

But no. One year in middle school we got a week of each and then after that it was one trip a semester.

For reals, though, I've got nothing against steroids, so long as the user understands the risks and side effects. Cause there's a very noticeable difference between working out snd juicing as far as how bodies look.

Also, a lot of the traditional steroids only help with muscle growth, they don't do jack for bones or connective tissues so is being the swolest mother****er on earth worth it if you can't exert without tearing your tendons?

That was a deliberate exaggeration.

It is my understanding that since steroids, for the most part, don't help strengthen tendons or ligaments or the like, people who use abuse steroids are more likely to injure themselves through exertion than someone who obtained similar levels of strength without such supplements since your connective tissue didn't scale up to match your muscle growth.

Unless public school lied to me again.
