I rather get a "It's impossible! I'm invincible! Lucretia promised me UNLIMITED FREEZING POWER!!!" vibe. I guess we'll see soon if that big snowman is a warlock, or another one of Mommy Dearest's gullible/disposable tools.

I don't think the minions worry about strategy. They are not very bright, so far as I can tell (two word monosyllabic sentences for the most part). They are worried about continuing to exist.

There's a scene in the start of the 4th novel that possibly shows the creation of the Other. In that she is shown as being serenely confident that she's got it right up to the moment everything blows up, despite everyone warning her. I suspect that she was suffering from major over-confidence rather than being told it was easy.

Yeah, that was my take too. Less "I was promised this would be easy" and more "Per my calculations this should have been easy, and since my calculations (like me) are perfect, the fact it wasn't easy is GROSS INJUSTICE".

If you are gonna blow a trump card to take down the big bad, make sure you take him down before switching targets. Trump cards tend to have a limited shelf life. But then, ive been reading a lot of cultivation manhwas recently so I tend to see that sort of thing a lot. :p
