NPC Wealth by level?
So this term "ECL 10 NPC wealth" came up in a game I'm playing, and for the life of me I can't find the table that lists it.
I have found NPC equipment value, but I don't think that's it.

135 is PC wealth. NPC wealth is on 127.

That's gear value, there's another table separate from those two on ECL NPC wealth by level. Apparently for level 10 its 49k

Gear value is the main source of NPC (and PC) wealth. Originally Posted by SeekerInTheNight

As already pointed out NPC wealth/gear can be found on table 4-23 page 127 of the DMG.

If you want, you can add the treasure value of the NPC to the gear to get total wealth, with x2-3 for rich NPCs.

I believe that an NPC with PC value of gear is +1 CR. Maybe more when the gear is really optimized to cover his weaknesses and/or improve his strengths.

Technically, a 1st level NPC with a dozen +5 items is CR 1 while a 20th level NPC with nothing is CR 20. That's why wealth by level and CR are guidelines Originally Posted by Amiria, Countess of Mispelling

If you want to equip NPCs at Epic levels, you can come up with a reasonable wealth figure by taking the Epic PC WbL values (DMG page 209) and multiplying by 0.3 (30%).
