Re: The Wizard's Tower by Luizeu
There once was a wolf that danced along,
The same dance done for every song,
The votes piled up, he took a bow,
Oh dance, my diddley-doe,
Soon may the wizzer-man come,
Clean the Masons and their crumb,
One day, when the voting's done,
I'll take my leave and go,
We'd not had two votes hit down,
When the 'prentice rose up with a frown,
And jigged his dance just like a clown,
He did it real, real slow!
Soon may the wizzer-man come,
Clean the jailer's lucky thumb,
One day, when the voting is done,
I'll take my leave and go.
He looked around, his wolfy grin,
"And now is it such a sin?
To take a town 'round for a spin,
I would like to know!"
Soon may the wizzer-man come,
Clean the fruity tasting gum,
One day, when the voting is done,
I'll take my leave and go.
But even as he stepped right back,
The townsfolk jumped at him with a crack,
"Go join the drunkard and the jack!"
And that just goes to show!
Soon may the wizzer-man come,
Clean the clues and the giver's strum,
One day, when the voting is done,
I'll take my leave and go.
Oooh-de-lally, ooh-de-lally,
I'll take my leave and go.

Re: The Wizard's Tower by Luizeu
Ending
The Town collected Caoimhinthecape from the explosion leaving the lantern inside. As they hurry to leave the fire mephit range, they rush through the door. Leaving Bladescape behind and closing the door. At first, there was silence, but then they could hear Bladescape hurling spells from inside the door. The shrieks from the monster stopped and a second later the door previously closed exploded with a spell.
After smoke and dust cleared, the town could see Bladescape, using his mage robes, dragging himself to them. A huge burn mark on his face and arms. He slides down the wall and breathes heavily. “We are nowhere near the ocean, how could I fool you all for so long?”
A moment passes
“A turtle caretaker, a scuba diver, and a sea expert? Come on, guys. Well, I fought the good fight. I can’t stop you anymore” He groans as he starts to breathe slowly. A discreet smile appears on his face “You have no chance against Luizarius, your deaths will be swift”. He then starts singing a song, a sea shanty…

When finally the town bursts through the last door Luizarius is waiting. He knew they were coming. The mayor’s daughter was sleeping on a desk. Was it? Was she on a trance, or was she already dead? She starts moving, thank the gods. She’s alive.
With a flick of his wand, Athedia, the locksmith is pushed to the wall - a magical force binds her to a wall and chains sprout from the ground and lock her in place.
"You're fighting in vain, my dear heroes. I am simply too powerful for you." said the wizard
JeenLeen is the second, as a retired adventurer she knew where to go and how to move quickly and in seconds was in melee with the Wizard. She just didn’t account for the rug. The rug sprung to life and grabbed her ankle. In seconds the rug had held her leg and one of her arms. “I’m stuck, Meta it’s your turn”
"You're pathetic. You're all so weak and helpless." quipped the wizard
Metastachydium, with the swift balance of a leaf, had their weapons ready. The biggest one would do. A direct hit in the direction of the wizard’s crooked nose. Then it hit a magical wall. With another strike, it hit the magical wall again. A third one, hits the magical wall again.
“You can’t fight me, every futile attack you make only serves to amuse me. Without magic your attacks are nothing." He delivers each quip with a cruel smirk, their eyes gleaming with sadistic delight.
It was then that CaoimhintheCape and Persolus finally revealed themselves…
“We are not simple adventurers, you will see that we are made from a different mettle” said Persolus
Persolus and Caoimhinthecape were in fact wizard students from Elminster Aumar, a rival wizard who decided to end the competition by Killing Luizarius, the Enchanter.
“Stay behind me” shouted Caoimhinthecape - as a giant magical shield formed in front of them.
“Dispel magic” cried Persolus and one by one the wards from Luizarius fell apart.
This gave the town a chance to attack. oh, and they did.
“Let’s give him some of his own medicine - Immolation” Persolus and Caoimhinthecape shouted in unison. Flames wreathe Luizarius and it catches on the desk, the curtains, and the furniture.
“Let’s get out of here, someone take the girl” one of them shouted.
---
The town was silent, its streets empty. The people were still in shock, reeling from the horrors that had unfolded in their midst. Luizarius had been terrorizing their community for months, taking their free time, and worrying them sick about who was a bad guy or not. Could they trust their friends again?
A sense of relief and hope began to bloom in the hearts of the townspeople. They gathered in the town square, holding hands and candles, their faces illuminated by the flickering light. They mourned the dead, but they also celebrated the fact that the wizard was no more.
The mayor of the town stepped forward and spoke to the crowd. He thanked the mob and the masons for their bravery and dedication. He also thanked the community for their support and resilience.
"We have been through a dark time," he said. "But tonight, we stand together as a community, united in our grief and our hope. We will mourn our dead, but we will not let fear define us. We will rebuild our community and make it stronger than ever before." Huge rocks were put on the entrance of the Tower and nobody was supposed to go near it.
The crowd cheered, their voices echoing through the night air. They released their balloons into the sky, a symbol of their hope and resilience.
The Mayor’s daughter smiled for a different reason. No one had noticed all the magical powers she had gained. She looked at her hands - they were glowing with magic.
Town and the Thieves Guild Members have won. Congratulations!
The end
Spoiler: Narrator notesNarrator notes
Guys, I just would like to thank you all for participating. It attracted a lot of players and I wanted everybody to have fun. I know things in RL are hard, so I really appreciate all the time you invested in this game. It was the first time I ever narrated: I was a bit scared in the beginning but grew comfortable with time. Being a D&D DM helped with some things (as I’m sure you have noticed).
As English is not my first language, this was something I worried about. It’s easy for me to be formal, not so much to write informal texts and conversations. Maybe some wonky sentences appeared, or maybe some descriptions didn’t make sense, but I’m happy with the final result.
I would like to give a special thanks to Taffi and Batcathat who made me like their games so much that they gave me the necessary boost of energy to start this game (also, I stole many ideas from their games, so thanks again)
Things I would do differently: I think the game was too difficult for the wolves. Maybe I needed to adjust their spell list/costs and the number of wolves we had. They were very unlucky with some rolls and some item choices.
I would also change some roles on how they function. I warned before the game started that some roles would be good, but others wouldn’t have so much influence in the game. But I was surprised with how interesting JeenLeen’s power ended up, even without the power up.
Roles, tables, items, and cryptic messages were all randomized. I had different tables for players and depending on who would get an item or a wine results would be different.
Once again, thanks for playing and I would love if you could give me some feedback later and also if I should do a sequel or not.Last edited by Luizeu; 2023-09-20 at 05:25 AM.

Re: The Wizard's Tower by Luizeu
Thanks Luizeu, this was an amazing concept and I loved the narration, just wish I could've played more of it ❤️

Re: The Wizard's Tower by Luizeu
Luizeu, fun game and neat narration. I liked the items/food/wine throwing some abnormalities into a normal game's mechanics.
Wolves, what was going on D1? Were y'all absent, or was it a plan to screw with us the rest of the game?
Still seems strange neither Meta nor Persolus died that Day.
Good game y'all. I feel like Taffimai just mostly got bad luck D1, but the rest of y'all played a good game. Evidence just piled up too much in the end. And, blade, you almost had me thinking you and Athedia were scumbuddies from your comments the last Night.
Masons, did you know you were wizards? Were you Lovers or was that a lie to try to bait me if I was a wolf?
Meta, sorry I suspected you so much. Glad by the end I was persuaded.
Side note: I did get feedback on if my power worked. Lied about that in hopes to trip up a wolf.

Re: The Wizard's Tower by Luizeu
Apparently me and Kraken had the same "problem", as in our powers were set up to alternate between two functions, but starting on even nights instead of odd meant we had nothing to do N1 and that felt a bit weird.
Was there a particular reason for that?Yes, I am slightly egomaniac. Why didn't you ask?
