I think - to echo what's been said by others - given the fact that these issues have persisted for a month now, we need some sort of communication from someone who can speak to the issues, or even just confirm that work is being done to resolve the issues. I know this is a free forum and I appreciate the hard work the moderators do without pay, but as far as I can tell it's been radio silence on what's happening. We just need some sort of communication that isn't "we're aware".

Seems that today they went from the worst they've been, to completely resolved. Site is smooth for me now.

Today my forum loading seems to alternate between fast and (occasionally) slowish but manageable (maybe 5-10 seconds to load a page or so) but considering I had close to a week of excellent performance a while back before it became worse than ever, I wouldn't assume it's a permanent improvement.

Last night and this morning the forum has been intermittently draggy, sometimes with pageload times of 30-40 seconds.

Other times it’s instantaneous; and other times I run into a Cloudflare or similar obstacle.

Right now, the speed is great and the server responsive.

But I'll confirm that there used to be many problems, low speed, errors like 500 etc.

But today it suddenly went critical. I’ve barely been able to access anything all day—failed handshakes, 524 timeouts, redirecting that hangs eternally and goes nowhere. I’ve heard from others who’ve reported wildly inconsistent behavior all day. Individual pageload times are well over a minute each, and simply posting this has been virtually impossible.

Been having quite a lot of Cloudflare issues today. Error codes 504, 520, and 525, if I'm remembering them correctly.

Months ago, similar issues were happening. IIRC, something about databases issues or copy and pasting too much or something. Forums were shut down for a while.

Currently forum connections are very erratic; sometimes they work fine and sometimes they take ages to load.

I don't have any additional information for you about the whys and wherefores, though any technical information filtered through me would come out like "gremlins in the flux capacitors" anyway. We're glad that you care enough to be bothered and sorry that the issues are interrupting your regularly scheduled Playground activities. We're working on it.

It seems to me that things are better when I go on the forums while most US people are asleep. So maybe a bottleneck somewhere that slows things down so much that browsers give up and throw an Error?

These server, site, page loading issues have becomes so bad that folks have started leaving, folks are stopping various activities, and none of that is good for Gitp at all, can some or alll of you please find and fix these issues

On Friday the 9th, the site was dragging heavily when loading at 2:45 pm EST, then started throwing 500 internal server errors.

Yesterday, Saturday the 10th, the pageload times were so severe I could barely make headway anywhere on the site, and pretty much gave up. This morning things are moving quasi-normally, but at this point I don’t think anyone expects that to last for long.

Just got a “server is too busy” notice at 11:24 pm.

Last night at 11:30 pm EST, the site was taking at least one minute to load each page.

Now, approx. 9:15 am EST, site is taking one minute to one-and-a-half minutes per page, making the site extremely frustrating to even attempt to use.
