Lincoln quickly tied Dammit to a fencepost and withdrew his pipe pistol from its holster. Once he had secured his Brahmin, he used his left hand to signal his companions to be silent by lifting an upraised finger to his lips.

He moved slowly toward the door in a half-crouch, scanning ahead for any evidence of raiders or other dangers.

Jenkins Farmstead

The interior of the house is dark, it seems no power is running through it's lines, flicking on a flashlight allows to take a look inside.

the small adobe farmhouse is a wreck. int he living room, furniture has been overturned, and the floor is scattered with broken picture frames, simple jewelry, and blood-soaked farm tools. A slow, quiet dripping sound draws a light to an archway leading to a quaint kitchen. On the wall, beside the archway, is an old ghoul woman wearing a bloody nightgown, her rotted skin falling away from her face in folds that flap about in the wind. a Garden hoe is thrust through her sternum, impaling her to the wall. Her eyes are frozen in shock, head is slumped down against her chest, she is not breathing.

Lincoln suddenly froze in the doorway, aghast at the sight of the dead ghoul. Quickly scanning the room for evidence of whoever killed her, he took a step back and to the left, so as to partially shelter behind the door, then waved for the others to approach.

As they did, he whispered in a low voice "We got a problem..."

Lincoln waves again for his companions to keep their voices low and motions for the doctor to come forward.

"I don't think this is the patient you were sent to help... and I don't think you can help the patient who is here. She's been murdered."

He pauses for a moment and turns to Voyde. "You got any skills at tracking? Maybe we can find out who did this?"

"Already on it." Voyde replies quietly as she is scanning the area already, hoping to find something worthwhile to lead to whoever did this.

I guess I'm a bit confused. I didn't use any AP because I failed my attempts, but then I re-read it and it seems like the difficulty was a 0. So, any attempt at all would pass, which normally means no roll is needed. But, we have to spend an AP per piece of info we want? I guess I don't quite understand the interaction here is all. Sorry if I'm just forgetting a rule, but sure, I'll burn an AP on my search attempt above so we can move the plot along. I just don't understand why is all.

The short answer is that we have a full pool of 6 AP that can be spent.

Lincoln took a minute to calm his nerves and then gave the crime scene another look, this time with an eye to look for what happened here.
