I think Haley's more worried about Xykon/Redcloak/Tsukiko/MitD teleporting in than she is about more hobgoblin soldiers.

Well, I would assume that if they have gone this far with their organisation and preparation, that it would have occurred to the Hobgoblins (and more importantly, to their leaders) to come up with a system to allow swift response... Locally stationed squads, flying zombified types, etc. Hobgoblins ARE Lawful after all...

Ganurath, maybe it's just taken this long for one particular resistance group to be a sufficient pain.

It's been too long since Haley was allowed to let the clever dialogue fly. This whole strip is perhaps the most light-hearted for ages, probably because it's knee deep in action.

Well, Xykon wouldn't bother anyway (he neither cares about the hobgoblins nor about Azure City, so why about a resistance against said goblins? It's not like they could harm HIM) and MitD wouldn't teleport in even if he could because he'd be too busy looking at them flashy lights. Also, I don't think Redcloak would, being Supreme Leader - you don't bother the supreme leader for a few rebels.

And I think Haley could take Tsukiko, though I might be wrong.

Cantrips are arcane, divine is orisons.

I really doubt Browncloak is going to live to see the day through, unless the hobgoblins are packing orbital bombardment heat, such as Tsukiko using Fly, Dimension Door, and Flame Strike to open up the fight.

Haley should be fine - but with her heart of gold, she may well try to save the slaves and her gang, thus exposing her to possible capture by Tsukiko...

Oh, and another nice point is that she says that the good news is that she doesn't have to think up a second part to the good news-bad news joke, thus creating a rather nice meta-joke since it isn't the second half of the original joke and yet still completes it for her and the readers...
