Lightbulb Guardians of the Bladesong Grove [5E]

    GUARDIANS OF THE BLADESONG GROVE

Nestled deep within the mystical tapestry of the Feywild, where the very essence of light and shadow converge, lies the enigmatic Dreaming Timberland. Here, the boundaries between the vibrant Feywild and the ghostly Shadowfell blur and intertwine, creating a realm of breathtaking beauty and ominous darkness—a realm teeming with untold wonders and perils alike.

At the heart of this enchanting wilderness reigns the enigmatic Frostbough King, a figure of immense power and ancient wisdom. His dominion extends over the Dreaming Timberland, where he presides over the ethereal dance of life and death that permeates the land.

Central to the Frostbough King's sacred duty is the guardianship of the illustrious Lucent—powerful nature spirits that serve as the custodians of the natural balance on the Material Plane. When these majestic beings reach the end of their earthly existence, their souls find solace in the warm embrace of the Moonlit Seeds, where the Lucent undergo a transcendental metamorphosis, emerging as radiant entities ready to be returned to the material plane and begin their duty anew.

Spanning across an expanse that defies comprehension, the Dreaming Timberland sprawls in all directions, its vastness matched only by the complexity of its ecosystems. Only the Frostbough King, with his unfathomable power and ancient wisdom, can hope to navigate such intricate domains. Yet, even he finds himself challenged by the enormity of his sacred duty.

To aid him in his noble endeavors, the Frostbough King turns to the illustrious Gloomwild Court—a coalition of stalwart defenders, meticulous stewards, and jovial jesters. The Court serves as the linchpin of governance within the Dreaming Timberland. Under their watchful eyes, the day-to-day affairs of the forest are meticulously managed, allowing the Frostbough King to dedicate himself fully to his sacred charge as the guardian of the realm's sanctity.

As a denizen of the wondrous Dreaming Timberland, your allegiance lies with none other than the illustrious Frostbough King, sovereign ruler of this ethereal realm. Regardless of your talents or capabilities, your paramount duty is to strive tirelessly to enhance the splendor of the Dreaming Timberland, fulfilling the solemn mandate of your noble monarch.

    Spoiler: The Bladesong Grove
    Show

The campaign commences in the tranquil Bladesong Grove, a secluded vale nestled in the northern reaches of the realm, far from the bustling centers of civilization. Here, amid the whispering canopy of ancient trees, reigns Sabre-Captain Delalynn, a venerable Centaur whose storied past as a distinguished warrior in the renowned Dusksabre Army has now given way to a steadfast commitment to safeguarding the grove's serene tranquility.

Retired from the rigors of battle, Delalynn's sole purpose now is to protect the grove from any who would dare disturb its sacred sanctity, ensuring that the half dozen Lucent cradled within their Moonlit Seeds can regenerate undisturbed, cocooned in the gentle embrace of the forest's magic.

At the heart of Bladesong Grove lies the idyllic hamlet of Beybrook, a sleepy settlement that straddles the convergence of the Toadmoor River and the Long Road. The Toadmoor, meandering lazily through the verdant landscape, serves as a natural conduit for travelers making their way downstream, while the Long Road winds its way across the length & breadth of the Dreaming Timberland, starting & ending in the bustling metropolis of Nightstar, the winter capital of the realm.

Nestled within the protective embrace of a bailey, the hamlet's focal point is an imposing motte upon which stands a stone tower, its timeworn walls steeped in history and legend. Within its hallowed halls rests the Bow of Wintermoon, a replica of the fabled weapon said to have been bestowed upon an ancient elven hero by the god Corellon himself—a relic of unparalleled power and prestige. Gifted to Sabre-Captain Delalynn by Zelthayn, Ambassador of the ever-enigmatic Eladric City of Fairpetal, in gratitude for the Centaur's heroic intervention in the face of danger, the bow serves as a potent symbol of honor and valor.

Yet, despite the grove's serene beauty and the peaceful ambiance of its surroundings, a shadow looms on the horizon—the encroachment of black-scaled kobolds, mysterious creatures whose sudden appearance in the Dreaming Timberland has stirred whispers of unease and apprehension among the grove's inhabitants. While some dismiss them as lost wanderers, destined to find their way back to the material plane in due time, others fear that they may herald the arrival of a new and malevolent force, intent on claiming territory for its own nefarious purposes...

Many among them also serve as shrewd merchants, their keen business acumen and charismatic charm making them sought-after traders in the bustling markets that dot the forest's expanse. With a twinkle in their eye and a quick wit on their lips, they barter and haggle with the skill of seasoned negotiators, their goods ranging from rare herbs and magical trinkets to fine works of craftsmanship that rival the splendor of the stars.

Born from the crucible of battle and tempered by the flames of adversity, they embody the unyielding spirit of their ancestors, their very presence a testament to the indomitable will of the mortal soul.

Born from the ancient lineage of Satyrs, these diminutive winged beings embody the playful spirit of the woodland, their antics bringing joy and wonder to all who behold them.

While the majority of Faeries are harmless tricksters, delighting in harmless pranks and playful mischief, there are those among their kind who harbor a more sinister nature, their tricks taking on a darker hue as they seek to sow chaos and confusion amidst the peaceful tranquility of the forest.

Yet, despite their capricious nature, Faeries play a vital role in the delicate ecosystem of the Dreaming Timberland. Blessed with the gift of flight by the benevolent Frostbough King, they serve as caretakers of the great Bluewood Trees, whose towering canopies provide sanctuary to the Moonlit Seeds—precious vessels that cradle the souls of the realm's revered Lucent.

With their delicate wings shimmering in the sunlight, Faeries flit from branch to branch, tending to the needs of the ancient trees with a grace and finesse that borders on the otherworldly. These mystical portals, hidden from mortal eyes and known only to the most astute observers, serve as conduits between the ethereal realms of the Feywild and the material plane beyond.

Bound by a sacred pact, the Githyanki were granted access to these wilderness gateways, allowing them to traverse the boundaries between worlds with unparalleled ease. In return, they pledged their allegiance to the Frostbough King, swearing to stand as stalwart allies in times of need and to lend their martial prowess to the defense of the realm should the call to arms be sounded.

Throughout the eons, singular warriors of many crèches of Githyanki have adventured in the Dreaming Timberlands, honing their skills against the predators and evils that lurk within the forest. Their blades flashing like lightning, as they surged forth to meet and defeat any challenge.

Aldebaran, the Elven Druid of the Stars, reporting for duty.

I choose brown. Will link the charsheet tomorrow as I am posting from the phone. DONE

    Spoiler: History
    Show
When the Winter Elves came to the Dreaming Timberland all those eons ago, they did not come unprepared. With them, guiding and protecting them, were the Stargazers, druids who watched and understood the meaning of the stars as others understood the language of the birds. Stargazers knew of the Ways among the Worlds, and knew how to find and follow the Ley Lines that crisscross the planes. Even since, the Stargazers have been among the People of the Winter, serving the Frostbough King by watching the Ways and reading the messages of the shifting stars. “As above, so below” is their ancient motto.
Aldebaran is such a Star Gazer. He is the youngest member of a very small, but very ancient Circle. Aldebaran ‘s clan has settles in the northern parts of the Bladesong Vale since time immemorial, and often visit and trade in Beybrook, or take their swan-naked boats down the Todamoor. Aldebaran was a strange child even by Feywild standards, speaking of things before they happened and calling starlight to his bidding to play. In Aldebaran’s 80th birthday, Elder Antares visited his family and asked for Aldebaran to come and study with him the Old Ways. Thirty years later, Aldebaran was a Stargazer himself. He came to Beybrook and settled in a secluded hill a day’s distance away, where the trees are the tallest. He has spent decades watching the stars, mapping the Ways and bartering from ancient scrolls that have faded even from elven memory. His life as a Shepherd of the Paths has not been uneventful, but he has been happy so far. But the stars can be harsh masters, and all the signs and the portents of the Above speak of something wicked coming this way. Aldebaran studies, and prepares and once more practices the combat techniques of his brethren.

    Spoiler: Questions
    Show
Why did you decide to become an adventurer?
I was called by Antares to become a Shepherd of the Stars and and Guardian of the Ways. It is a noble pursuit and I am honored to have been chosen.
    - That is the reason you tell people you became an adventurer. Is there a secret reason?
My clan and my family did not understand me. Their life was too confining. The Planes call to me.
    - Do you currently have a best friend whom you would protect with your reputation or your life? If so, who are they and what caused you to feel so close to them? What would have to happen for you to end this relationship?

    - Which person(s) or group(s) are you most loyal to?
I am loyal to the Stargazers, my brothers and sisters in the Old Ways. I am loyal to my people, the Shadow Elves. I am loyal to the Frostbough King
    - For what would you die for?
For a chance to understand the Ways and the Paths of the Stars, to protect my people and my friends.
    - Do you have a good luck charm?
My crystal gazing lens, given to me by my mentor.
    - If your life were to end in 24 hours, what 5 things would you do in those remaining hours?
Brew the perfect cup of tea, and drink it while smoking my rarest blend in my pipe. Read my books. Look at the stars one last time. Visit Antares and my friends. Find the best satyr bard and dance.
    - Do you, or did you, have any role models? Do you have any heroes or idols, either contemporary or from legend? Tell me about them.
I have a great respect for Antares, my mentor. He is wise, powerful and he has traveled the Ways for centuries. He knows more of the Feywild than anyone else, and he is a master of lore that few mortals understand. I wish I can become as knowledgeable and as wise as him.

    - Out in the wilds of the Bladesong Grove, there lives a hermit named Matthias the Red. He is not native to these lands. He looks like an elf but with rounded, spoon-shaped ears. You believe his people are called "Humans". Matthias has a shaved head with many tattoos on his scalp. It is said, the tattoos shimmer in the moonlight. He likes to keep to himself, locked away in a small tower he built many years ago. Most have only seen glimpses of Matthias but you have actually met him. How did you meet? How did he treat you? What did you discuss or do? Did you part amicably?

Ah, Matthias! He is a strange creature. When I first met him I was not a Stargazer, but I was listening to the Song of the Planes and spent most nights looking at the stars dancing. Old Matthias started to come and sit by me, taking his own notes. He even accepted a cup of tea. He seems to know quite a bit about many things. I have visited his tower more than once, because there is a great elm there which is just perfect for mapping Solaris’s trajectory through the Wise Dragon sign. We rarely speak, but he continues to accept a cup of tea. But he seems older every decade. A strange creature indeed.

    - The Githyanki Crèche Do'kith has been utilizing many of the portals within the Bladesong Grove. They have also been slaughtering jaguarbears and panthereagle en mass. No one knows why. How do you feel about this? Panthereagles are
particularly powerful aerial predators who stalk the forest. Indeed, little Aniko - a Satyr fawn of the Stable Master of Beybrook - was killed by a panthereagle three weeks ago. Her half-eaten remains were discovered in the canopy of a tall tree. Does the recent death of a fawn affect your opinion of what Crèche Do'kith is doing?

I am always sad when a creature die. But death is a part of life. Predators kill, and get killed in return. This is as true for panthereagles as is for Githyanki.
But perhaps I am biased. Antares had a great respect for Githyanki knowledge of the Old Ways. I have visited their Creches many times to study the maps they would let us see, and indeed, one of the reasons I know Draconic, is because of these visits. But deep down, I find them strange.

    - A band of Knights from the Order of Sunglow were spotted seven day's ride from Beybrook. The Knights hail from the Eladric Castle of Gaol Latha, which rests to the north of the Bladesong Grove, just outside of the borders of the Dreaming Timberlands. You shared a drink with one of the Centaur lancers before they set off to battle the enemy. What did you say to them before they left?

How can someone hate the Frostbough King? He has sheltered my people for aeons. I do not understand fay politics. I wish you well, and I hope you all come back unharmed.

    Lexydeia, satyr guild artisan paladin/warlock

I'll choose goldenrod as my speech color.

    Spoiler: Backstory
    Show
Lexydeia grew up steeped in her parents’ business — her father is a skilled woodworker, and her mother is a merchant who sells his wares. She and her brother learned from both parents, spending time in Dad’s workshop learning to carve, and taking trips with Mom learning how to negotiate and make a tidy profit. During these travels, Lex found being on the road thrilling.

One day, a smooth-talking elven paladin named Erevan came into the village, and he took Lex on as a squire. She learned the ways of battle, then set off on her own for a time. During that time, she had a mystical encounter which brought her arcane powers, and confirming her suspicion that it is her destiny to travel the Dreaming Timberland to protect and preserve its wonders.

    Spoiler: Backstory Questions
    Show
    - Why did you decide to become an adventurer? As a young satyr, I often traveled with my mother to sell my father’s wares. I came to realize I enjoyed the road more than the work, and started to entertain lofty ideals. When Erevan came by, urging the people that it’s their duty to protect the sacred realm of the Frostbough King, I was hooked.

    - That is the reason you tell people you became an adventurer. Is there a secret reason? Not exactly. There was one time I carved a stag from a large bough of yew. I set the stag on an icy rock beside a cold stream, and it magically came to life, drinking from the stream, then shed its antlers before me and faded into the air. I took that sign as a blessing from the Frostbough King. I kept the antlers, which had changed to a more elongated shape, and with that as my wand, I was able to cast spells. This only reinforced my commitment to protecting the realm.

    - Do you currently have a best friend whom you would protect with your reputation or your life? If so, who are they and what caused you to feel so close to them? What would have to happen for you to end this relationship? My older brother Dellwyth. We grew up together and remain close. In our travels, where I took to the road and adventure, he took to the cities and the fellowship of strangers. He has become an innkeeper, mastering the crafts of brewing and musicianship to put his name on the map. It would take a pretty significant betrayal to break our bond.

    - Which person(s) or group(s) are you most loyal to? I am loyal to the Frostbough King, and to what I think is best for the Dreaming Timberland. I also share a kinship with artisans and merchants, particularly the Woodworkers’ Guild.

    - For what would you die for? The greater good and those I love. While I risk my life in battle, my confidence has allowed me to avoid wrestling with my own mortality.

    - Do you have a good luck charm? My wand.

    - If your life were to end in 24 hours, what 5 things would you do in those remaining hours? Share a drink with my brother, if possible. Carve a token of the light in the world, to gift to someone young or in need of hope. Walk outside and take in the natural beauty. Do something to help someone. Thank someone for making a difference to me.

    - Do you, or did you, have any role models? Do you have any heroes or idols, either contemporary or from legend? Tell me about them. I was a squire for a charismatic elven paladin named Erevan. He taught me to do battle, and encouraged me to believe each of us has a part to play in preserving the splendor of the Dreaming Timberland. I also idolize the Frostbough King, whom I view as my patron, model, and lord.

I happened to stop within sight of his tower one day when I felt compelled to spend the day carving a life-sized owl from part of a fallen log. I’m not sure if he saw me from his tower, or just passed by while getting water, but he stopped and watched me carving for a while. Eventually, he offered me a drink of water and praised my carving of the owl. Something about the creature seemed to speak to him. We had a short conversation of few words, and he left. After that pleasant encounter, I decided to leave the owl near the entrance to his tower, as a gift.

    - The Githyanki Crèche Do'kith has been utilizing many of the portals within the Bladesong Grove. They have also been slaughtering jaguarbears and panthereagle en mass. No one knows why. How do you feel about this? Panthereagles are particularly powerful aerial predators who stalk the forest. They are known to kill Satyr fawns who wander alone too far into the woods as well as unsuspecting Faeries who are meander through the woodland.

I have mixed feelings here. I normally avoid slaying creatures unless for food or defense. It is clear that these predators are a threat, so killing them can be understood. Killing them en masse, however, violates the natural order of our ecosystem. I’m worried about the unforeseen consequences throughout the Dreaming Timberland of upsetting the balance in this way.

    - A band of Knights from the Order of Sunglow were spotted seven day's ride from Beybrook. The Knights hail from the Eladric Castle of Gaol Latha, which rests to the north of the Bladesong Grove, just outside of the borders of the Dreaming Timberlands. The knights hate and revile the Frostbough King and seek to fell him "for the good of the Feywild & the Dreaming Timberland!" Sabre-Captain Delalynn has sent the 4th squadron of Bladesong Lancers to investigate and, if possible, slay the knights. You shared a drink with one of the Centaur lancers before they set off to battle the enemy. What did you say to them before the left?

Your quest is noble; thank you for your heroism. The heart of the Dreaming Timberland beats with your hooves and wills you to victory!

    Tempist the Temporal Fighter

[SPOILER=Background]The Mark from the king, the mark that makes Tempist special among other elves. Tempist, through intense training and focus has been able to learn how to watch the passage of time, unlike other elves. Like mortals, time passes so swiftly. In the life of a human, thier life can be over in as little as 40 to 60 years. An elves life lasts 10s of times longer. Through the fey wilde, Tempist has been able to glimpse into this expediated life... In brief moment he can force his body to move faster than the flow of time would allow. In times of great stress he can even slow down his own perceptions of time to see minor fluctuations in people, sweat forming, the beating of hearts, the flickering of eyes. These can all give him the signs he needs to instinctually guess where a person is going to move. He has used his gifts of speed to aid the frostking. Guard the woods, remove the infestation. Patrol the halls. He has done all this without question. One thing that can always reach his heart is a good song, splendid music is able to bring forth tears, and he does appreciate a good song. He never forgets a promise made, and he has never given his word with intention to break it. A guard at heart has a role to play. /SPOILER]

    Hey,

I just edited the post above. In a while, I will also answer the questions. DONE

Is anyone interested in linking backstories in some way? For example, perhaps Lexydeia knows Aldebaran through Erevan. Erevan could be a friend of Aldebaran also - elves cannot be that numerous- and Lexydeia 's love of traveling could well have made her friendly to Aldebaran, who studies the Ways.

In the same way, Tempist can be a childhood acquaintance or even a friend. Perhaps they were of the same clan, and when Aldebaran left to study to become a Stargazer, Tempist lef for his own apprenticeship. Now that they have both come back, perhaps they have reconnected. After all, being a guardian, Tempist could have met Aldebaran a number of times. Heck, they may have been together in some of the previous adventures, that earned them all of these XPs.

Sure, I'd like to have some backstory ties within the party. Erevan would have met with other adventuresome elves while training his squire. Perhaps we went on an expedition together, checking out something that was worrying one of you. Lex (she generally goes by Lex) would be most impressed by your knowledge of the natural world, which is a big part of what draws her to travel. Next time you met, she gifted you a bag of hand-carved wooden caltrops, each one ornately etched with swirls and specks that resemble the night sky. "Stars below, for whenever the need may arise."

DM, I'm going to edit my sheet and buy some more caltrops. I had planned on Lex carving her own caltrops, but I realize she probably has several sets on her at this point. You can determine how much time it takes her to carve another set, noting they won't always be so ornate.

Also, I realize that I took the average gold for my class instead of rolling (and then purchased everything), but I never confirmed that that was okay. Is that okay?

This is just fine! Perhaps Erevan is an old friend of Antares, Aldebaran 's mentor. Perhaps Erevan found out about a strange path and asked for Antares' help, who in turn send Aldebaran.
The thoughtful gift touched Aldebaran. He created a special herbal pouch for Lex, which always smells of her favorite smell.

So let's say that we are childhood friends. Not necessarily blood-brothers or anything, but of roughly the same age, born in the same clan. I have assumed so far that the Shadow Elves are not that numerous and dispersed, so we would have known each other.

Perhaps Tempist was always the focused, dutiful one, while Aldebaran was always a bit distracted. Tempist could always beat Aldebaran in any sparring contest, with one hand tied behind his back - and frequently did - but Aldebaran always managed to give the right advice at the right time to Tempist.

Perhaps, if you agree Darius, Tempist and Aldebaran have stayed in touch, shared a campfire and even had an adventure or two together, as Aldebaran mapped the Ways and Tempist defended them.

    AC: 16 | HP: 24/24

    Ki Points: 3/3

    Spoiler
    Show
Tyrbas, or Tyr as he's commonly known, is a very relaxed and serene guy. He goes with the flow, allowing the universe itself to guide his actions. This may make him come across as aloof or even distant, but he puts his full energy into doing whatever he feels the universe wants him to. This means he is sometimes fickle, one minute being disinterested in whatever is happening and the next fully engaged.

While he does not share the fervent loyalty and adoration to the Frostbough King or Gloomwild Court that most of the people of the Dreaming Timberland have, Tyr does love the Dreaming Timberland itself and if the universe decides his part in the play has been cast, he will give it his all.

    Spoiler: Questions
    Show
    - Why did you decide to become an adventurer?

Tyr never really decided to become an adventurer. The universe merely wills it and he is ever its servant.

    - That is the reason you tell people you became an adventurer. Is there a secret reason?

In reality Tyr is restless. He has never really liked staying in one place too long and he feels like it's time for a change of scenery.

    - Do you currently have a best friend whom you would protect with your reputation or your life? If so, who are they and what caused you to feel so close to them? What would have to happen for you to end this relationship?

Tyr has many friends in many places, people who he owes much to and people who owe him much. He doesn't have what you might call a best friend, though, because he never stays in one place long enough to build a relationship like that.

    - Which person(s) or group(s) are you most loyal to?

Tyr is only truly loyal to, in his mind, the universe itself and the cosmic balance that supports it.

    - For what would you die for?

One's own life is the most important thing they own, so preferably nothing.

    - Do you have a good luck charm?

There's no such thing as luck, only being in the right place at the right time as the universe wills it.

    - If your life were to end in 24 hours, what 5 things would you do in those remaining hours?

Tyr knows a spot where the tree boughs give the most beautiful view in all the lands. He would simply return there and... watch.

    - Do you, or did you, have any role models? Do you have any heroes or idols, either contemporary or from legend? Tell me about them.

    Lunar Princess Harpalyke

    "I-I'll speak in bold teal!"

    Spoiler: Backstory
    Show

The twenty-first granddaughter of the Frostbough King, Harpalyke carries some of his divine blood, but none of his confidence; feeling the weight of expectations as one of the great King's get, she strives to fufill the charges of the Court and keep the land safe. Born as one of three triplets, Harp was most associated with the hidden New Moon. Her sisters - the bold and brash Deimos and the dignified Alae - may look identical in face, but the three are as seperate as personalities can get. Though they are close, they nonetheless see their shy sister as not living up to her potential.

Her sisters have pushed her into this act of service in a sort of sink-or-swim philosphy.

    Spoiler: Questions
    Show

    TBD!

Why did you decide to become an adventurer?
    - That is the reason you tell people you became an adventurer. Is there a secret reason?

Honestly, no, she was pushed into it by her sisters and that's pretty much it. There's elements of wanting to live up to her family duties, to grow as a person and confront her fears, but mostly it's because the other two phases of the Lunar Princessery have made her.

    - Do you currently have a best friend whom you would protect with your reputation or your life? If so, who are they and what caused you to feel so close to them? What would have to happen for you to end this relationship?

Being both horribly shy and technically royalty, there's always been a barrier between her and others. It means she has close servants, but not quite friends; her sisters are bound to her, as she to them. As Fae and triplets, it's not entirely just metaphor. They probably couldn't betray each other even if they wanted to.

    - Which person(s) or group(s) are you most loyal to?
Her sisters and her king, in that order.

    - For what would you die for?
She'd really prefer not to, actually. If it really came down o it, she likes to think she'd be willing to if it saved this forested realm from destruction.

    - Do you have a good luck charm?
Her royal moon medallion, typically hung between her antlers. It is identical to two others; you can turn it over to show a new face of the moon. You can do this with all three phases; a small glamour in it for a two-sided disk.

    - If your life were to end in 24 hours, what 5 things would you do in those remaining hours?

    - Do you, or did you, have any role models? Do you have any heroes or idols, either contemporary or from legend? Tell me about them.

    Backstory answers for Timpest

    Spoiler: Responses
    Show

    - Why did you decide to become an adventurer?
    Duty to the Winterking
    - That is the reason you tell people you became an adventurer. Is there a secret reason?
I need a purpose. Duty to the winterking sounds noble, and it fills me with purpose.
    - Do you currently have a best friend whom you would protect with your reputation or your life?
    [B]If I did, it would be Aldebaran/B]
If so, who are they and what caused you to feel so close to them? What would have to happen for you to end this relationship?
They arnt Blood, but they are distantly related by clan. We grew up near each other, and could rely on each other. The only way Timpest could turn on Aldebaran is if Aldebaran turned on the Winterking.
    - Which person(s) or group(s) are you most loyal to?

    1) The Winterking
    2) Aldebaran
    3) The Shadow elves
    4) The Feywilde

    - For what would you die for?
Duty, The Winterking, and the Feywilde
    - Do you have a good luck charm?
    Several:
1)Tasseled wine charm shaped like a sprite
    2)8-inch-long glass ant figurine
    3)Spool of glistening silver thread

    - If your life were to end in 24 hours, what 5 things would you do in those remaining hours?
    1)Listen to the best Bards
2)Write a letter of resignation to the Winterking
3)Write a goodbye letter to Aldebaran
4)Drink the most expenisve glass of wine I can afford
5)End my life on my Terms

    - Do you, or did you, have any role models? Do you have any heroes or idols, either contemporary or from legend? Tell me about them.
Ancient Elves from long ago, the warriors were so fast and strong they could bend time with their very limbs, they needed to magic spells or charms, their very movements could escape the threads of time as they danced through the battle field. He yearns for that perfection.

What did you discuss or do? Did you part amicably?
Timpest was out on night patrol. Something he does not volunteer for, but will be put in cycle for. For you see.... Timpest, also glows in the moonlight. not all of him, but there are highlights of his muscles, and various parts of his facial hair will glow. It was this distinction that caught Matthias's attention and brought him out of the tower to speak to Timpest. They spoke of thier glowing parts... how being so in touch with the fey may have caused this. He would welcome monthly visits to the tower to discuss the fey and the feywilde.

    - The Githyanki Crèche Do'kith has been utilizing many of the portals within the Bladesong Grove. They have also been slaughtering jaguarbears and panthereagle en mass. No one knows why. Does the recent death of a fawn affect your opinion of what Crèche Do'kith is doing?
The Death of the Fawn is certainly regretable. But it is part of the natural cycle of the feywilde. The Intruder Githyanki is a menace, assaulting the natural balance of the feywilde and should be stopped.

    - A band of Knights from the Order of Sunglow were spotted seven day's ride from Beybrook. Looks like everyone has made it over!

I am going through your answers now. I may send some follow up questions to some of you, to clarify things.

Other than that, we should be ready to go. The IC will go up tomorrow, so if you wanted to add anything to your backstory or adjust some things about your character now that you know what the party comp is, feel free. I am very chill about it.

EDIT: Looks like some of you are still wrapping that up. No worries.

Also, I realize that I took the average gold for my class instead of rolling (and then purchased everything), but I never confirmed that that was okay. Is that okay?
    Feel free :)

I just realized my character sheet still has "Common +2" as my languages known. I'm assuming Elvish and Sylvan are probably the most common other languages in the Dreaming Timberland? Are there other common languages here?

Thank you! Out of those, I still think Sylvan and Elvish probably make the most sense for Lex.

I've had some real trouble getting on the forums lately. I'll try to catch up and post tomorrow if it isn't too late.
    And the far stars cried, and the planets yearned;
But no man may know, for she'll ne'er return.
