Default is it worth it?

a want to get the 3.0 edt. savage speciese book. however my dad reminds me of two key points
1) it is 3rd edt.
2) 4th edt. is coming out soon

this is the first dnd suplement i read and i loved it, is it worth the 16 sum dollors on amazon, or should i wait for 4th edt. and hope they make somthing simular???

Well, if you're going to convert to 4th edition, then it isn't worth it.

If you're going to stick with 3.0/3.5, then it's worth it.

If you aren't sure which one you'll be playing, I'd probably lean towards getting it anyway, since there'll be plenty of people still around playing 3.5, even if others are playing 4th. So...you could do both, I suppose.

There is a chance that prices will drop a bit further when 4th edition hits the shelves.
