Default Optimized Damage of Hail of Stone Neutral Caster

I have a True Neutral Master Specialist Grey elf currently 8th level, (6 Master Specialist, 1 cleric, 1 Wizard) will PRC into Dweomkeeper later.

Looking for recommendations on optimizing damage on Hail of Stone.

    Hail of Stone
    (Spell Compendium, p. 108)

    Conjuration (Creation) [Earth]
    Level: Sorcerer 1, Wizard 1,
    Components: V, S, M,
    Casting Time: 1 round
    Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Area: Cylinder (5-ft. radius, 40 ft. high)
    Duration: Instantaneous
    Saving Throw: None
    Spell Resistance: No

You hold the jade chip before you and blow on it as you end the spell. The chip flares with a green flame and vanishes as rocks begin to fall on your pursuers.

You create a rain of stones that deals 1d4 points of damage per caster level (maximum 5d4) to creatures and objects within the area.

Material Component: A piece of jade worth at least 5 gp.

    Thanks.

Get Arcane Thesis (PHB II), stack all the metamagic feats you can get your hands on.

If you don't mind hurting yourself to kill your enemies, Reserves of Strength is good if you're going to be stacking a lot of metamagic together.

For example, Arcane Thesis + Reserves of Strength + Empower + Energize Spell OR Enervate Spell is 18d4 damage against anything other than constructs.

Without Reserves of Strength, that would instead do 11.25d4 damage against anything other than constructs.

    1. Enervate Spell
    3. Ocular Spell
    Otyugh Hole: Iron Will
    6. Arcane Thesis[Hail of Stone]
    9. Reserves of Strength

    Rod of Maximize Spell
    Rod of Empower Spell

    1. Cast Mark of the Enlightened Soul (L4 slot)
    2. Cast Rod[Maximize] Ocular Enervate HoS while using RoS for +3 caster level in eye 1 (L3 slot).
    3. Have a friend remove stun (or be immune to stun and suck up damage)
    4. Cast Rod[Maximize] Ocular Enervate HoS while using RoS for +3 caster level in eye 2 (L3 slot).

Later, cast from your eyes while using Rod[Empower].

Base damage is 8d4. With Maximize it's 32. With Enervate and MotES it's 64. Since you can unload two eyes at once it's 128. Since you empower it's +8d4 (+50% Enervate +50% MotES) ~= 40. So that's 168 damage in expectation.
