Curse spewing question

Quick question for anyone who has the BoV:

The "curse spewing" magic weapon quality, Are there any restrictions on what sort of weapon it can be placed upon? (ex: melee only, certain damage type...you get the drift.)

Nope, the entry has no mention of a restriction like that. Looks like any weapon/ammo is fine.
