The Talent (Psionics) by MCDM: optimized builds

do you know the Talent class by MCDM? What do you think about it?

I have it, and I think it's great. It's permitted in games I DM.
Nobody has played it yet. I haven't had a chance to play it in any games DM'd by anyone else.

Neither link really tells me enough about it to form much of an opinion.

As best I can tell from MC's description, it's a cross between Truenamer (make a skill check to cast, the power level of the effect correlating to the DC in some way) and Kineticist (accumulate a negative resource called Burn Strain the more you use your powers, that you need to rest to get rid of), both of which serve to force you to seek downtime after a while.

Beyond that, I have no idea what they can do, nor whether the class is mechanically viable, overpowered, or underpowered - and I'm okay with not climbing the paywall to find out.

No, I haven't had the opportunity to play it. I'd just pick a theme or pair of themes and run with it.
