Mounted Skirmish ability?
The errata for Complete Adventurer indicates that skirmish damage can not be applied while mounted. Is there any feat/item/spell/class/anything that would allow it to work? One of the characters in our group just got a mount that is really too die for (silver dragon!) but he's a scout (level 12) and doesn't want to ditch his skirmish ability.

There isn't such a feat, but your DM can always just houserule it and say Skirmish damage is added while mounted.

Retrain his Skirmish to Riposte from the Cityscape web enhancement?

Or homebrew up a feat. With a flying mount, he's not going to get hit much anyways. I don't think riposte would do him much good.
