Isn't there a maneuver to stun someone?
I think there some sort of maneuver Warblades can get to stun someone either with no save or will work a high percentage of the time. Can two Warblade play tag like that?
W1: Does whatever. Some sort of attack
W2: Uses maneuver to stun enemy
E: is stunned
W1: Uses maneuver to stun enemy
W2: Uses a swift action then a full-round attack on the enemy in order to recover his maneuvers.
E: still stunned
W1: Uses a swift action then a full-round attack on the enemy in order to recover his maneuvers.
W2: Uses maneuver to stun enemy
E: still stunned
Continue for as long as necessary. The two Warblaes can probably work White Raven Tactics in there to squeeze out extra turns.
W1: Use cool maneuver (on enemy) or full attacks
W2: Use cool maneuver, Use WRT on W1.
W1: Use another cool maneuver, use WRT on W2
W2: Use Stun
E: is stunned
W1: Use Stun
W2: Recover maneuvers, full attack
E: is stunned
W1: Recover maneuvers, full attack
W2: Use cool maneuver, Use WRT
W1: Use cool maneuver, Use WRT
W2: Use Stun
E: is stunned
repeat until enemy is dead.

Yes, they can, and yes, White Raven Hammer is broken. So is Swooping Dragon Strike, but at least that requires you to boost your jump check and has the possibility of a natural 20 on the save.

Re: Isn't there a maneuver to stun someone?
Yes. It's called 'White Raven Tag.'
Warblade 1: "Attack, recover maneuvers!"
Warblade 2: "White Raven Tactics! White Raven Hammer!"
Warblade 1: "Greater Insightful Strike!"
Monster: ...
Warblade 2: "Attack, recover maneuvers!"
Warblade 1: "White Raven Tactics! White Raven Hammer!"
Warblade 2: "Greater Insightful Strike!"
Monster: ...
Warblade 1: "Attack, recover maneuvers!"
Warblade 2: "White Raven Tactics! White Raven Hammer!"
Warblade 1: "Greater Insightful Strike!"
Monster: "Can I die now, please?"
It pretty much never comes up in practice because a) most games don't reach 15th level, b) the chance of a 15th level party having two White Raven users isn't high, and c) at that level many monsters are immune to stun or have some way of avoiding the attacks in the first place. Still, it's a fun idea. :)

Would you say White Raven is the best discipline in ToB?

Besides, one can always miss the strike. Full AC, remember. ^^'

In two seconds I will hit the ground
A moment stretched out over years
And my eyes will flicker and then something has changed
An empty cage, a crimson bud, a street of blood
A city rose sprung out to greet the rain

Re: Isn't there a maneuver to stun someone?
It's the most uneven.
The majority of the White Raven maneuvers and stances are average at best. They mostly require you to have several other melee characters in the party who don't mind you giving them directions. And I usually find that roleplayers don't react well to being ordered around. :)
However, there are three White Raven maneuvers that are absolutely amazing - White Raven Tactics at level 3, White Raven Hammer at level 8, and War Master's Charge at level 9. All are borderline overpowered and among the best maneuvers in the game. If you take White Raven Hammer and War Master's Charge at high levels, expect the DM to throw a lot of stun-immune enemies at you.

Not to mention D20s, books, munchies, miniatures and whatever is near his hand when he gets annoyed.

Re: Isn't there a maneuver to stun someone?
Not magic-immune, just with some way of dealing with the insta-kill spells.
White Raven Hammer's a lot like Irresistable Dance. They're both level 8, neither allow a save, and in both cases a single monster that isn't unbelievably tough or immune to the condition (stun for WRH, compulsion/mind-affecting for the Dance) is pretty much automatically dead.

Re: Isn't there a maneuver to stun someone?
And since insightful strike does neither "bonus damage" nor "extra damage", neither way of reading it apply. Insightful strike does standard damage, it's just different standard damage than the weapon normally does. Therefore, it can crit.

Re: Isn't there a maneuver to stun someone?
Diamond Mind: Disrupting Blow
As part of this maneuver you make a melee attack. If this attack hits, your target must make a Will save (DC15+your Str modifier) or be unable to take any actions for 1 round. The target does not suffer any other drawbacks or penalties. He can still make attacks of oppourtunities but is unable to take immediate actions until his next turn.

Re: Isn't there a maneuver to stun someone?
White Raven: White Raven Hammer
As part of this maneuver, you make a single devastating strike against an opponent. The raw force of this blow knocks him sensless. Your attack deals an extra 6d6 points of damage and stuns your opponent for 1 round.
