Default Need help with Wizard NPC

One of the games I'm running for calls for Mordain the Fleshweaver (Elf Transmuter 18) to be one of the higher villains. Typically, I'd think he would just use various created minions and experiments to fight for him, but what happens when he has to fight the PC's? What spells would he prepare and how would he fight? Any suggestions?

If he had allies with him, I'm assuming he would focus on buffing them. If not, what are his barred schools? I'm guessing a lot of de-buffs and direct damage spells would be used in that case.

Not sure what his barred schools would be. And although he would have his own creations (most likely aberrations like Dolgaunts and Dolgrims) I need to know what he would do once the PC's hack their way past those.

Disintegrate would be a good spell, as would Simbul’s Skeletal Deliquescence and Ghostform (see http://www.crystalkeep.com/d20/rules...ererWizard.pdf for information on those spells if you don't have the necessary source books).

I'd have him run away until he can fight on his terms.

Aside from that, lots of baleful polymorphs, solid fogs, disintegrations, black tentacles, forcecages, orb of (x), etc.

I'd go for status conditions and nonleathel shutdowns like Blindness, stunning, Dominate, baleful teleport, feeblemind, baleful polymorph, imprisonment etc,,,, high HD beings such as the PCs being wonderful experimental subjects and a fun way to try out some homebrew aberration templates.
Give them bread and circusses and the plebs wont rise against you. Give adventurers dungeons and trapped chests and they won't waste time looking to ransack your home and kill your wife.

He was L18 in ECS so he could be higher now. I'd give him the +0LA Soul Locked template from Heroes of Horror at the minimum since he's been around for centuries. (Occassionally defeated but usually comes back)

Transmuter -3, Master Specialist- 6, Loremaster -3, Arch Mage -5, Heir of Siberys -1

Decide on what his prohibited schools are and if he is a Focused Specialist?

Have several fake lairs run by Simulacrum (nice for lower level parties).

Teleport away before being killed (Isn't that a classic) but the PCs free some important nobles or dragon house members so nice in a campaign.

Don't forget the mongrel folk outside his lairs and labs (friendly, neutral and vicious).
