Maximise and Call Lightning.
If the Maximise Metamagic feat was applied to Call Lightning or Call Lightning Storm, would the damage from each lightning bolt be maximised, or would the metamagic only apply to the first bolt? I thought I'd ask due to how overpowered each bolt doing maximum damage sounds.

Re: Maximise and Call Lightning.
(In all the campaigns I've been in so far:) The former. You're maximising the whole spell, after all.

Re: Maximise and Call Lightning.
Thanks (that is a good point). That would be cheap when combined with Sudden Maximise.

Re: Maximise and Call Lightning.
The fact is that it is limited by damage per round. You can only call one bolt per round, as a standard action, and from a 6th level spell. The damage per round will be 18 on a normal day, or 30 on a stormy day. That's hardly overpowered, since you could accomplish similar or greater damage with a couple reserve feats or casting a few extra spells. Clearly not OP by any stretch of the term.

Re: Maximise and Call Lightning.
Maximized Call Lightning is actually a class feature of Sentinel of Bharrai, incidently.
