Ranger Help
I'm playing a Ranger in my group's upcoming one shot of Tomb of Horrors, and I was wondering if anyone out there could help me find something worthwhile that replaces the animal companion, as that seems pretty worthless for my character.

Re: Ranger Help
The PHB II has a variant called distracting shot. You give up animal companion, and in return, any creature that you hit in combat via melee or a ranged attack becomes flanked. This would be exceptionally useful if you have a rogue in your party, but is useful in general because of the +2 flanking bonus.

Re: Ranger Help
Fax had posted a big list of replacement class features on this forum at one time, I'd recommend finding that.
