Anybody know where this comes from? Is there a list of flaws larger than what's in the d20SRD?

Realmshelps has a list of them. Just search their feat list for the "flaws" category on the left.

Never seen it. As far as I'm aware, all Flaws come from the Unearthed Arcana supplement (and are, as most of it, at least slightly broken - unless you do like my DM did and say "You want them? Fine, by your rolling them randomly")
Morituri nolumus morit - We who are about to die... don't want to

There it is. There were several flaws posted in Dragon Magazine, and the Realmshelp website conveniently lists them all. To get a complete list of all published flaws, go to:

    http://realmshelps.dandello.net/datafind/feats.shtml

select Flaws in the left column and hit Find at the bottom. For some reason, it's impossible to link directly to the list

I invented a flaw for my Cleric. He prepares his spells with a random dice rolls, if he wants to prepare a specific spell he must cast it as soon as he gets it. I got a feat for that and with spontaneous healing it's all good, plus I learn the spells better as a player.

Found some nice flaws this way.

Wild (panicked if pinned/entangled/confined) and Brash (-6 ac against attacks of opportunity) work well to get some flavor or qualifying prerequisite feats I would not have otherwise taken. (Especially with a goliath...who's very hard to pin/bind/confine, and who has the tumble skill.)

I like some of these for flavor, like aligned devotion, chivalrous courtesy, code of arms, elven pride of arms, and the like, but some of them seem a little... harsh. Half-elves are already about the weakest race there is, but if they take the quarter-elf flaw... they basically end up getting nothing. And some of the caster flaws would make spellcasting practically impossible. Magical overload, arcane fatigue, divine gesture...

EDIT: I just noticed foe specialist... that'd be good for ruining ambushes. "Make a spot check." "Am I trying to spot a favored enemy? I've got to know, it makes a difference!"

Think about this though: You are giving up most of the Half Elf racials in return for most of the Human racials. That seems like a pretty good trade to me.

Of course in reality, if you are trying to optimize anything, anything at all, Logic Ninja's advice applies:

"Flaws: DM allows 2, take 2. DM allows 5, take 5. They are that good."

So of course a Human with a different flaw is going to be better.

The exploitability of flaws is linked to feat power - since a flaw is always weaker than its' corresponding feat, you just pick the flaws that correspond to feats that aren't good - such as that flaw which compliments mobility (the -6 to AOO AC).

Exactly. Sucky feats get flaws based off them. But even better in my mind is flaws based off of specific feats: Arcane Thesis:

Flaw: Arcane Dunce: Pick one spell, of second highest castable level, -3 CL, cast as a spell one level higher (including save DC).

Way to good for a Wizard, way too bad for a Sorcerer.

Don't you have to pick flaws at 1'st level? I don't think zeroth-level spells qualify for Arcane Thesis.

Now, I recently got a character with a flaw, and I based it loosely off of Luck of Heroes: It's a -2 penalty to all saves. That's a good flaw because Luck of Heroes is a good feat.

It's just a matter of being wise about making feats to base flaws off of.

    1) Technically you can Arcane Thesis a level 0 spell, but why would you since when you can first take the feat you can Arcane Thesis a 2nd level spell?

    2) You can get flaws at any level.

    3) That flaw has it scale, You must always choose one of your second lowest castable spells. Text about if you gain access to another spell level it changes ect.

More like, almost all of the half-elf racials. About all you've got left is the ability to qualify for Half-Elf Paragon. And you still don't get the bonus skill point, and you also face the wrath of DMs who don't like flaws. If you really want it that bad, just play a human and tell folks that your grandma was an elf.

One thing about the Dragon magazine flaws, though, is that most of them have prerequisites, which makes them slightly less abusable. With the UA flaws, you can just take ones that will never affect you, but the Dragon ones will generally have at least some impact on your character. Which, of course, runs the risk that they'll be so bad that nobody ever wants to take them, like Quarter Elf.

Codifying any lawful character's behavior always makes for a good Flaw "Never Lie", "Take no prisoners". Or conversely the opposite "Compulsive Lier" "Always attempt to apprehend"

Also consider more external flaws "Bounty: Player has legal authorities out to kill him/her", "Incurable Disease: You can take away the ability damage, but the disease never goes away", "Friend of the Poor: 10% of all wealth is donated to the poor,"

The bounty flaw is a good idea, but it's probably too short term. Good for a short campaign, or maybe a module adventure. Unless it's a major guild, noble, or faith, then the flaw has some milage.

The flaw for wizards in Dragonlance was always a favorite of mine. Cast a spell, make a Fort save DC 10 + spell level or become fatigued. Second time you fail you become exhausted, third time unconscious for an hour. After failing that first save, you start evaluating how much more magic you need to cast.
Why is it the best campaign ideas happen when you're sitting down to someone elses game?

Pun-Pun is an example of the worst case scenario. Never, ever, push your DM that far.

I thought of Link after smacking some Cuccos; Please tell me this is accurate, and where to find it.

I found out you can actually beat the cucco swarm in Phantom Hourglass. At first I felt a sense of accomplishment, but it was almost instantly replaced by a feeling of loss. I mean, I beat the cuccos at practically the beginning of the game... what's left to challenge me? If the cuccos are beatable, then anything's beatable.
