I don't believe the Feral template has been reprinted in 3.5.

However, I think Savage Species was one of the last 3.0 books, so it should be close enough to 3.5 that your DM should allow it, assuming he's banning it because it's 3.0 and not because it's just cheesy or something.

Savage Species is a 3.25 book. I was released just as 3.5 was being constructed. Don't use Feral, though; not unless you're willing to nerf it dramatically.

Min +9 natural AC, claws, pounce with enough racial HD, DR 8/adamantine, fast healing w/ racial HD, +6 Con & Str for +2 LA.

How much racial HD needed for pounce and fast healing? I'm imagining a Feral Mineral Warrior Centaur. Centaurs have 4 Racial HD, and already have +3 Natural armor, +8 str, +4 dex, +4 Con, -2 Int, +2 Wis.

Total bonuses would be +12 Natural Armor, +14 str, +4 dex, +10 Con, DR 8/Adamantium, -2 Int/Wis. This comes with +4 LA and 4 Racial HD.

Doesn't Feral lower your wis or int or something?

First, feral replaces your natural AC with +6 if it's not already higher, and mineral warrior adds a +3 on top of everything. Four racial HD just nets you pounce & improved grab. You can get fast healing with any number of racial HD, and 4 will net you 3 HP/round. Feral raises Wis, but mineral warrior lowers it just as much. You would also lose an additional -6 Int and -2 Cha, total. (Typing on a PSP is hard.)

I wonder how scary that Centaur would be using Dungeoncrasher. Centaurs are large, so they can take the Knockback feat. Bullrushing isn't based on on BAB. It is based on Strength, so Centaurs (especially this one) can Bullrush really, really well. Dungeoncrasher does like 8d8 + 3x your str mod or something, and your strength mod will be phenomenal. Add in Spirited charge with a Lance, and you kill things.

You DM is wise, toddex. Savage Species, while technically sort of 3.5, is one of the craziest books, and it especially shouldn't be open for PC use.
