The warlock, I believe, is a chap with a trace of demonic ancestry. He need not be Chaotic Evil (he can even be good), but this ancestry gives him special powers.
These powers include:
Shooting balls of energy at will (1d6 at level one as a standard action).
Spell-like powers, often at will, although individually less useful than wizard spells of the same level.
Causing debates over whether he is over- or under-powered.Fools rush where angels fear to tread. Funnily enough, fools have accomplished a great deal more than angels.
