Ring of X-Ray Vision Question
With a ring of X-Ray vision, you can see 20 feet though material. If the material was only 15 feet deep, could you then use your normal vision to see further, or is your vision limited to 20 feet?
Thought, opinions?

Re: Ring of X-Ray Vision Question
My opinion: The ring allows you to see through 20 feet of material. thus, if the material is 20 feet or less that means that it does not impede your vision at all. If you could only see 5 ft past a 15 ft object, that would seem to imply that while wearing the ring, you could never see further than 20 ft. An interesting interpretation... would make for a good cursed item, still useful but with a major drawback. A non-cursed one, though, would need to allow your full range of vision and simply allow you to ignore any object <20ft thick.

Re: Ring of X-Ray Vision Question
But the description specifically states the vision range is 20 feet. Nowhere does it state you can see through 20 feet of material...
