Nightmare! More versions?

Hello. I now have a BBEG based almost entirely off the spell "Nightmare".

But I'm not sure yet how to implement him. I have another 3 sessions or so before he even shows up, but I need as many different versions of Nightmare as possible. Even related things that keep people from sleeping. Thanks.

You could have him ride a nightmare, for an example.

Also, give him the spelltouched feat Live My Nightmare, just in case he gets scryed upon. This, of course, depends on what level the party is.

Exposure to phantasmal killer spell.
Benefit

Whenever someone successfully targets you with a divination spell or effect, you can send that caster a nightmarish vision. This vision functions as a phantasmal killer spell, except that the form comes from your dreams, not the other creature's dreams. The other creature must succeed on a Will save (DC 14 + your Cha modifier) to disbelieve the nightmare and a Fortitude save (DC 14 + your Cha modifier) to avoid dying from fear.

Have him accompanied by tons and tons of Quori - basically, they are nightmarish outsiders from Eberron's plane of Dreams.

A miniboss squad of Night Hags? IIRC they used to attack in dreams in previous editions.

Nah, I meant more versions of the spell, literally. The bad guy is an advanced cranium rat swarm replaced with bugs. Rawr.
