I changed the shipping method on my gift set and it went from an estimated ship date of June 10th, to July 28th!

I cancelled the order and just ordered the books individually, and now their delivery estimate is June 9th.

I ordered my gift set and it came up as shipping on July 24th....I just cancelled it and went down to my game store and bought it.

You might want to wait a day or so if it says it won't be shipping until the 10th or something. I ordered mine from B&N and received them today, but until I got the e-mail about them shipping (which was yesterday morning early) it said they were "On time to ship on June 10th" or something like that.

My boxed set from amazon, ordered around march, is slated to ship the 10th.

That said, Amazon always says their stuff is going to ship later then it actually ships, that way if they ship it late it's actually on time instead of early so you get less complaints.

It's basic cover-your-rear business tactics.

I just called to complain after my ship date was changed from June 6 to June 9-12 and they gave me free two day delivery. So everyone call amazon at 1-866-216-1072 if you're having trouble! Hopefully with enough complaints they'll fix whatever problem is causing the delay.

I just canceled my gift set order, and reduced my order to just the PHB. From what I have seen of 4e, it doesn't warrant me buying all three books.

Very confused now. I wasn't paying attention to what I had canceled, so I canceled the PHB order I had just placed. However, I now notice that my gift set order cannot be canceled, because it is apparently being prepared for shipping. The delivery date is still 6/18-6/24, even with 2 day shipping.

So, if it's being prepared now, does it really take 2 weeks to stuff a box?

They sent me an e-mail claiming they didn't have enough stock and that my books have been delayed until the 16th at least.

No idea if it's their fault, but it's really annoying to preorder about 4 months in advance and still have them lacking enough stock.

We ordered it on Easter. It says Shipping on 10th of June, but we shouldn't get it till 17th.

Amazon sucks if this is when I'll get it.

So, even after getting the email that my estimated delivery date was switched to 6/18-6/24, my books arrived this evening, a day before the original 6/10 estimate.

Go figure.

I'm in the same boat as many of you. I preordered in early May and the ship date was suddenly moved back to June 16-24. Of course, that do this on the 7th, not beforehand. No games store within 15 miles of my house has the books in stock, so I guess I'm stuck here waiting for Amazon to fix their problems.

Mine two boxed sets (I have a friend who doesn't have internet access, so he gave me the cash) are both still slated to ship tomarrow, and arrive sometime after the 17th. I can live with that. Getting something online within 2 weeks of the release date is actually really good, and I'm saving a ton of money, so I'm happy.
