Now what does this say about her alignment? She's evil but secretly wants to be heroic? Do they still penalize for changing alignments?

Now it is going to be VERY interesting to see what Therkla actually does the next time she sees Elan. Judging by that Imagine Spot, she may now attempt to seduce convert Elan to Kubota's side.

I see one of the following things happen:

1. Therkla sees Elan and attempts to convert him as above. Elan resists. Therkla loses her love in a hurry and attempts to kill him.
2. Therkla sees Elan, attempts to convert him, Elan rebuffs the offer. Therkla presses the matter further, and I don't know what happens after that. Elan may accept, even if only to become a spy or double agent, and Therkla may claim that she did, technically, bring Kubota Elan's head - it just came with the rest of the body, and still alive - and that now they can swiftly kill Hinjo together. Except Elan either tips off Hinjo to Kubota's plans or betrays Therkla at the last moment and possibly kills her. His last words to her: "I already have a girlfriend."
3. The most likely option: This is the last we see of Therkla and Elan in proximity to each other until the OOTS reunites and the introduction of Haley into this dynamic changes everything, possibly unpredictably.

Well, it is not that clear he knows that Therka is hot for Elan. Qarr is the source of his information and Qarr is limited in his understanding of such feelings. All Kubota really knows is that she disobeyed [& can think of a devious excuse].
And he does something, making sure she knows next time is "Or Else". [We don't know yet, but Kubota's pink slips are unlikely to be pink.]

It says she is evil, but secretly wants to boff Elan. She might well be willing to become good to do that, but the "Hinjo" figure in her dream is still the target, so she is more hoping Elan can be made evil some way.
