Armor and Spikes
Quick question about armor spikes, since I don't see it in the SRD.
Do the spikes have to be the same material as the armor? Or could I have, say, mithral armor with adamantine spikes?
Intuitively, I'd say the former, and that the armor would be forged with the spikes attached. However, the armor table says "you can have spikes added to your armor," suggesting that they can be attached to an already existing suit. Add to that the fact that the spikes and armor have to be enchanted separately and I think there's a valid argument for different materials.
So, anything in the rules (maybe in the flavour text of the PHB or in errata) that covers this?
Thanks

Re: Armor and Spikes
Your spikes are a weapon. As such, they get their own enhancements (like a weapon) and can be made of a weapon-appropriate material (like a weapon). This includes adamantine.
