Yeah. The conversation earlier today went something like this:

Owner: We should be ready to open Saturday night, right?
Me: We'll probably be ready, sure. But we'll open on Monday. I'm taking a couple days off.
But we need to open and put some money in the registers. The remodel was more expensive than I expected.
It always is. And I wasn't asking... I'm taking a couple days off. We'll open Monday.

    Done.
    And thanks!

    edit:
It appears that, with the non-start of Kobolds, and the large amount of games that seem to be playing quickly (read: have multiple kills, etc), that the schedule is freeing up fairly quickly.
With the vast amount of players we have now, I'm thinking starting two games a week isn't nearly as much of a problem as it used to be.
If anyone feels like moving a game forward on the schedule, I don't see a problem with it.

The way that I'd like to do it, to be fair, is to have them adjusted in the order they were scheduled to begin with. If Joe's game was scheduled before Roy's game, and Roy's game was sheduled before Tim's, Joe gets dibs on a move over Roy and Roy gets dibs on a move over Tim.
All of this should be approved by whoever has the original date spoken for.
If Jane has a game scheduled for a date, and Joe wants to move his game forward to that date, it must be OK'd by Jane, as she was promised to have that slot to herself.

If you'd like to move your game forward, PM me. I'll work out the details on any games moving, if necessary, as needed. I'm sure that this process, if it's used, will take some time to implement.
If you send a movement PM to me, don't expect to hear back fro a while, as it will take some time to figure everything out.

    Thanks.

    Simple. Easy. Effective.

Not as fancy as Korith's spreadsheet, but gets the job done.

Hmm, few more ideas I'm going to toss out for peer-review.

What about a game where when you have been scried, you know it? You don't know who scried you, but you know that you have been scried.

Or, perhaps, make a new role on one side or both that knows who is being scried, but not who is doing the scrying.

If this idea was used as a role (Scry Detector or whatever), I had also kicked around the idea that if THEY were scried, they could identify who actually scried them. Could be unbalancing, especially if it happened early, but if both sides got one of these roles I think it could be interesting.

There was similar role in Smash Brothers, if I'm not mistaken. Ask PhantomFox or the person that had the role how it worked out.

Shadow, I would like to officially pencil in Death Note 2 for January 21, 2009.

Also, if anyone wants to co-narrate with me that would be great.

And I was thinking about having 5 Kira's, (If I have about the same number of people) but only four books, not quite sure what to do with the last person, perhaps maybe a traditional devil? Any ideas would be great.

Yeah, a similar role to the scry detector was used in Smash Bros., and it worked pretty much the way as described. The person knows every player who was scried, not who did the scrying.

An interesting way to narrow down seers/fools/devils after a few rounds. Especially in a game with multiple seers.

First order of business would JX or EDK mind if I ran a variant of Twist and/or Ultimate Chaos (though to be fair it's closer to the latter)? I've got some ideas in the works, but I don't want to go too far without confirmation.
Second order of business how big does a game need to be to go on the calendar? I know that small games, like Freshmeat's Poirot games or EDK's minigames, don't need to, but how big can you get?

LOZ didn't get put on the calender, and it's holding 15-16 people.

I think games on the calender are generally ones with open registration, in other words, can get as big as they want. The ones that slip through tend to be limited memberships.

Cool. So would anyone mind if I set up recruitment for Ultimate Chaos II I'll change the name if JX wants sometime in the near future (as in, within a week or so)? I'm looking at something in the range of 15 players.
