A Question about Experience in 4th Ed..

I feel really stupid asking this, but I want to make certain this is still the case. In an encounter, do you divide the total experience point worth by the number of players to see how many experience points are alloted each character. I'm sure it has the answer somewhere in the book, but hell if I can find it. So if someone can tell me if the old division system is still in place, I'd appreciate it.

Yes you divide the total after each encounter. Also, there is a stickied thread above this one which you can ask all types of 4e questions in, fyi.
