OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
I have split OotS Arts and Crafts into two seperate threads. This thread is for posting any OotS style artwork you have created, be that an avatar or an entire scene or perhaps some wonderful fanart.
Please do not place requests for avatars here, for that, use this thread.

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
Some friends of mine ran a PBEM at another site I frequent, and these are their characters. There's a Sa'id (Necromancer), Rennik (Halfling Ranger/Barb), Cadfael (Cleric of Pelor), Mission (Monk of the Path of Blood and Stone) pictured here with his son Promise, Diviner Farron, and Garyth (Fighter).

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
Tick, pretty cool!! Guess I will try my hand at a scene based pic soon. Wish I was playing DnD (Basic ~ from the old days before and mention of 'Advanced') just can't seem to find anyone my age that wants to lol.
Anyway, nice job...
PS... Anyone still play 'basic' or 'original' DnD anymore?
Freeeeeddoooom!
Someone yelling that in another thread got me doing the avatar. :)Omen Darkwoods Best Free RPG System Ever!! <--- TAKE A LEAP AND CLICK!! Portfolio

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
Thanks! :) I started with just Cadfael (really, the idea for the shield) but I was bored at work today so...yeah.
William Wallace rocks.

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
Hey, I'm new to this, but I'd like to think I've got a knack for it.
Here are a few of my favorites:
An avatar of me:
Loki, the Norse god (well, not technically) of fire and trickery:
And of course, the Black Knight:

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
Looks very good for a MS Pain avatar IMHO. I am so glad I went the InkScape/Gimp route though now. I knock them out fairly simply now that I can vector draw and have a stock pile of easily editable base avatars. Just my to coppers.
Good job though ;)Omen Darkwoods Best Free RPG System Ever!! <--- TAKE A LEAP AND CLICK!! Portfolio

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
Okay, since it isnt a Stick figure pic, but is sort of OOTS-styled, I hope this is the right place to put this, since Arts and Crafts Showcase didnt seem right.

that boltgun isn't all that bad, although yeah it looks more like a pistol. Reminds me of what Terminators carry, actually...

That makes me remember how sucky I am at details. It still rocks, Neo. ;D
I just say the Dreadnaught and Killa Kan... awsomeness. Maybe make the legs bigger on the dreadnaught? Huzzah! I got the use of my broken hand back today! And I celebrated by making these random avatars. I will put them in the adoption centre soon, that seems to be working out pretty well.

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
Wow. I personally like the last one, but they're all great.
The second to last reminds me of that drow with the acid-melted face from R.A. Salvatore's books.
EDIT: Maybe that should only be 'book.' I don't think he was in more than one, and I think he died in the first book.

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
Huzzah indeed Ink, I wonder if you can adopt an avatar without actually needing one :P
And remember If you ever feel bored, don't heistate to do another version of Death for my hoard ;)
Although in all sensibilty those are brillent, and I can't wait to see the others that will surely follow. Your avatars are a pleasure to follow. (I lurk in the arts and crafts thread)
A Huzzah is indeed deserved.

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
I've recently started an art streak and have since tried my hand at making an OotS avatar, and would like some feedback.
Most of the tutorials here suggested vector based graphic programs which I had no experiance with, and instead made it with Photoshop. This is a significant improvement from my first two attempts. I'm goign to donate this to the 'adopt an avatar' Section.
