Best Peice of Art
Hey! I would like everyone to post what they personally think is their Best Piece of Art!
And we're not just talking OotS (though I imagine most will be), no, we're talking art generally.
I'll start off:
This is also my first (and for now, only) shaded picture.
I hope to see some goodie artwork

Re: Best Peice of Art
I've gotten involved in many different types of art. Since I don't have a favorite, I'll post the one that had the highest Awesomeness:time ratio. Here's a hallway I threw together in 3ds max about a year ago.
Spoiler
Once again I've had lots of work that I find kinda ugly, and others like, btw.
I guess if we're talking AI my V-day Avatar is my best, but I really like a lot of my more recent AI work, which can be found in my portfolio.

Re: Best Peice of Art
Hm. It's a bit of a toss-up.
I rather like this, and it's the only really artistic piece that I've ever been paid for.
Spoiler
But, this is also pretty impressive:

I draw, and I'm a fair cartoonist, but I do mostly textile arts, as you can see above. The woman in the dress is my sister, incidentally. We designed it together.

Re: Best Peice of Art
You know all the pulpy science fiction of the mid 1900s where the villain was ALWAYS a Nazi, no matter how far-fetched? Yeah, the sketch came to me of the cliche evil-Nazi-Countess, and then I went OVERBOARD on her bodyguard...I eventually decided to try out a new method of shading, and it worked WAY better then how I normally do art.
WARNING: CONTAINS NAZIS.

Re: Best Peice of Art
My favorite OoTS avatar is one I did for the 80's IA:
"Man who catch fly with chopstick can accomplish anything" -Mr Miyagi
I'm also very proud of my Bon Jovi avatar in my signature.
Regarding "real" drawings, it's been a couple of years that I haven't picked up a pen and drawn, but here is one drawing that I'm really proud of (it's colored with watercolor):

Re: Best Peice of Art
NICE Medieve!
Oh and the point is that my sketch IS bizzare...it's based off 1940-60's sci-fi, so it basically just has to combine robots and Nazis.SpoilerMy Town Characters, pictured left to right:

Thanks for the comments, I think I might go back into it and fix some saturation issues, I recently had to readjust my monitor and some problems showed up in a lot of my recent work. -_-

Re: Best Peice of Art
Wow Caillach.. I find that rather.. macabre? Reminds me of insestines. Good nonetheless
And you draw pretty well, Alarra. Pretty darn well.
There are alot of really good illustrators on this forum, I'm surprised that there's not more of them who have illustrated books etc. Or at least not what I've heard.
Might as well change this thread's name to "Eye Candy".

^: I'd say the Commissar, although the Assassin is a close second.
I'd put my best work up if I knew how my scanner worked. Alas, I do not.

Mmm... Nice NeoBeo (?!), I am a fan of your Warhammer 40,000 stuff, so I would have to say the commisar, but as The Orange Zergling (care if I call you Toff? That's a cute name..) said, the assassin is a close second.

Re: Best Peice of Art
wow there are some very talented people here!
Here's my stuff....I don't know which one is the best but I'll list them in order that people seem to like them:
The Empress's Magic:
I'm Here:
Far From Home:
"I left with the intention of never coming back. Memories were too painful and the knowledge that I would never again see those I had cared about was too cruel. So I turned my back on all that I had konwn and set out to see the world and find a place where I would belong. Little did I know it wasn't going to be that simple. I would be treated the same everywhere I went and I learned to never show my face, to stay in the shadows, and to hide myself from the world. I learned to be alone."
-Mythic
and one more because I like this one:
The Emperor and Empress Of Noneckia:

Re: Best Peice of Art
I wouldn't say it's my best, but my scanner sucks, and I lost a lot of my stuff when my computer died, so here is what I think is the best Oots avatar I've done.

Re: Best Peice of Art
My best art...
This is the best i've done in paint.
It's fanart for an MMORPG, and they liked it. It shows the broken stereotypes the game encompasses, I'm the stoic miner half-orc and behind me is an evil gnome chasing me for the kill. (it was meant to be a generic human but everyone thought I'd drawn the famous gnomish PKer that happens kill people on that ice map)
I also made a map that went in the game.
That's just an overview at a single angle though.Mannerism RPG An RPG in which your descriptions resolve your actions and sculpts your growth.
