Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
Revised edition.
The decent had destroyed me... and yet, I lived.
Raziel... you are worthy. If you have made an avatar for me, do not worry. I have them saved. Your work was not wasted. The reason I am not showing them right now may be because I feel they should be shown off at a better point in time.&&&&Orange Zergling doll by Sneak.

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
I can't get the last to avatars I've done not to pixelate when I put them through GIMP! Why would it suddenly not work anymore! :(

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
First, for your information, from the rules of posting:
Double Posting
Posting twice in a row is generally frowned upon. There is a modify link in the upper right hand corner of each post, please use that to add any extra information that you wanted to add but forgot to. You can also remove any accidental double posts with the remove button that is right next to the modify button.
Just so you know! ;)
Then, to have your own avatar:
1) You must host your picture on a website (like photobucket, imageshack, or anything like it). By the way the default avatar size is 117 X 117 pixels.
2) You go to you profile, and you check "I have my own pic", and put the link (from the previously said website) for your picture in the box.
3) Then you hit "Change profile" and voilą!... a custom avatar.
Hope this helps. :)
Edit: To post avatars, you also must first host the picture on a website. Then you use the code [ img]http://www.website.com/mypicture.jpg[ /img] (without spaces and in lowercase) to have your image show up in a thread.
Know that very big pictures are not really appreciated by the people who have dial-up, so if the picture is big, you should put the lik instead (like this [ url]http://www.website.com/mypicture.jpg[ /url]- again without spaces and in lowercase)Spoiler

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
I'm trying to convert to Inkscape, and I have a question for you Inkscape users.
How do I turn the linear gradient? It's currently going vertically, but I'd like to make it go horizontally without resizing and turning the item involved.

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
If you select the node tool and look at a shape with a gradiant you will see a new line going across your shape with a node on either end. Move those to change the gradiant. Fiddle around with it and check it out! Its pretty nifty.

Alright, here is my first attempt at doing anything on Adobe Illustrator...
Its simple... but I have to take baby steps here.
Doesn't looke to bad... the body is too long, which cuts off the legs and makes his head look big... Back to the drawing board!Verminaard avatar by drKarling

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
Wow Ego Slayer, you're on a roll!
Seeing as noone's commenting on it in the Request thread, I'll stick it here as well to be torn to bits. So, here's what I believe to be my first-ever proper avatar attempt (the combusting porcupine doesn't count because 1. it wasn't picked and 2. it was an echidna).
edit: Daedrous Avari, I keep forgetting to tell you, I like what you've done with that dire fiendish shark. The Iron Avatarist Hall of Fame!

I think your proportions are pretty good. Some artists match Rich's style exactly. Others add their own "signature" to the style which is okay.

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase
Thanks for fixing it, and for RESPONDING >evil eye to everyone else o_O< Just kidding, 'sallgood everyone.
However: I save it as bmp, photobucket converts it to jpg for some reason. I'll try to remember to try gif next time. I've tried repeatedly to get rid of the background, so far as I know it's impossible with Appleworks (my own avitar displays one of my failed attempts at transparency). Aaaand so far as I know the program doesn't have anti-aliasing. I am trying to stick with the Oots style. Still working on not making them look like they don't have a neck even though they actually don't, if you know what I mean.
Thanks again for the input, 'tis muchly appreciated. The Iron Avatarist Hall of Fame!
