Iron Avatarist -- D&D/Fantasy Monsters
Welcome to...
[glow=red,2,300]Iron Avatarist[/glow]
First, I'd like to introduce you to our judges...
{table]

SneakRoland St. JudeTin SoldierThe Vorpal TribbleHawkeye

(The final lineup subject to change. As noted elsewhere, Wukei is on a bit of a hiatus doing real life rpg art stuff right now.)
This week's theme is Iconic D&D/Fantasy Monsters! Any Monsters that just scream to you D&D or Fantasy are fair game!
That means you will be drawing Monsters in the OOTS style and/or drawing characters from OotS universe cosplay (dress up) as Monsters.
And of course, there is going to be a First through Third place of the following:
Best Monster
Best Group of Monsters (>1 Monsters = Group)*
Best OotS Character as a Monster
Best OotS Group as a Group of Monsters
Best Overall
And don't forget the Super-Secret Guest Judge’s Choice Award to the avatarist's creation that most appeals to a Super-Secret Guest Judge.
*Let me clarify further. More than one monster in the image is a Group. It doesn't matter if there is more than one of the same monster or a collection of different monsters. Victims and bystanders don't count. Two monster fighting each other do count as a Group. It's your entry so while I'm the final arbiter, I'm willing to go along with any reasonable categorization.
Every entry must include a bolded introduction as to what category you are trying to enter in.
Every entry must include a bolded introduction as to what your entry is.
IE:
Best Monster
Red Dragon
Only the avatarist who created the avatar may submit it.
However, you may submit old creations as long as they have never been entered into an Iron Avatar Thread before. It does not have to be something made specifically for this thread.
All entries must be completed by Friday, September 15th, at 12 am EST. That is Friday evening, Saturday morning at midnight U.S. Eastern Standard Time.

Re: Iron Avatarist -- D&D/Fantasy Monsters
Ooh. If I had any idea/had any skill in doing anything remotely more artistic than painting miniatures, I would totally try this.
However, being artistically inept, I'll just sit back and watch and cheer people on.
Yay people! Go! I believe in you! Good luck!

Best Monster: Aboleth
It's done in relative size to an oots sized adventurer. If it needs to be smaller, I'll fix it.
Best Monster Group: Shocker Lizards
Best Monster: Magmin
Wait, can I do my werewolves? I've got quite a few.

Re: Iron Avatarist -- D&D/Fantasy Monsters
Like the critters Lykan, but shouldn't the shocker lizards have some electricity shooting about?
Another thing, can the monster be of our own creation, or can they just be published creatures?

Just because they're shocking stuff doesn't mean they're constantly generating electricity...

Re: Iron Avatarist -- D&D/Fantasy Monsters
Let me answer a few questions here...
First, Lykan wanted to know if his Shocker Lizards are a Group. Yes. I've clarified the rules a bit on this...

Goddamit... I just lost two avis in a row due to power failiure... I hate that Inkscape doesn't have a backup file saver...
Though I'm not saying what I did. I don't want people taking my ideas.

Re: Iron Avatarist -- D&D/Fantasy Monsters
^Nice animation!
Power failure you say? If you get everyone around you to put their hands up that may help.
After all many hands makes light work ;)
