I just a moment had an idea of a Gestalt Wizard // Druid who specialises on his Animal Comp. and Familiar to kill the enemy. Maybe a bit of summoning etc. thrown into. What are good prestige classes to look for, what are good minions and, is there a way to fuse my AC and Familiar into one big thing ?

Wizard could be Psion and his psy-cristal too.

Any ideas ?

You want a class called Arcane Heirophant. I don't know what book it's in or what you need to qualify for it, but it combines your familiar and companion into one animal and gives it some sort of super powers.

There's a PrC out there that's basically tailored for you - I think it was called the Arcane Heirophant for Arcanists/Druids, it gave your animal companion familiar powers. Search me for what book it was in though.

Toss in Halfling Outrider, which gives a bunch of boosts to your mount, and see what happens. Spec in AoE buffs and summonings to Win.

You can complete the verbal and somatic components of spells while in a wild shape.

Based on the wording of the feat, yes. Just remember, you don't have access to your spell components while you wild shape, so you'll probably want to pick up Eschew Materials, since a good deal of Wizard spells need 'em...

The feat's text says you can complete the somatic and verbal components of a spell while wildshaped. Doesn't say anything about "druid spells only", so yes, you can.
