Still, gGotta say that is one badass pregnant mother. Moral of the story for all you Mooks out there? You do not put the life of a child in mortal danger within proximity of the mother - and, by extension, the life of the mother if she is pregnant. She will go berserk.

Edit: Screw the criticism. This scene would be impossible without Diago getting KO'ed.

I wonder if potions affect the baby. What if the kid got a little super-strength effect like Obelix? Expectant mothers should be more wary of what special mystical potions they imbibe.

I'm still trying to figure out how you can knock someone out with one kick in 3e. In 4e, it's easy (Level 9 Rogue Daily, "Knockout"), but I don't know a way to do it in 3e without either magic or an impractical amount of subdual damage. Maybe there's something in the ToB that I'm not remembering. Either way, that's one high level ninja. (Of course, it's hard to tell whether he's still alive or Kazumi's killed him--he's not the first one she kills, I think, but they do all look alike.)

In hindsight, Action Mom fits better. She was able to kick ass before, and Mama Bear is for meek characters who become kickass when their child is threatened.

Good. Kazumi will finally be able to catch up with all the XP Daigo has been gaining while fighting orcs and giant devils. It's a sad thing when someone in a couple gets higher than the other in level. It makes adventuring together that much more difficult, and that's just the start of a dysfunctional family.

I wonder what was in that potion. Rage, maybe?

An unarmed attack, that is also a Sneak Attack, that does more nonlethal damage than the target has hit points. What's so complicated about that?

Biggest problem? A character with enough levels to have sufficiently high Sneak Attack/Sudden Strike to do that will also be tough enough that there should be no way for Kazumi to one-shot him back. Like I said, the Class and Level Geekery people are either going to love this one or be massively frustrated by it.
