Gestalt helper

Lomg story short I am dming a 2 people Gestalt game and wanted help. I made a helper npc for the two but want to know what a better build then this one. Game goes to level 10 for right now.

What's the makeup of the two characters? If you're going to add an NPC, the NPC needs to be able to handle the character roles the other two can't - for instance, if one is a Barbarian//Cleric and the other is a Sorcerer//Paladin, then they've got the Meatshield, healer, and arcanist roles covered - the NPC would need to be a trapfinder.

Also, if he's supposed to be a background/support character, don't bother with PrC's at all.

For a support NPC what about Dragon Shaman -1 for Fast Healing -1 Aura at first level which will have some benefit through all 10 levels?

One or Two levels of Binder could be interesting and fun if you have access to Tome of Magic (Can always use one of the variants and bind Celestials).

Favored Soul could provide some nice buffing for the PCs.
