I like more powers for the swordmage, but it seems like Aegis of Shielding gets all the best stuff.

I'm not seeing the Aegis of Shielding getting the 'best stuff' here. I mean, the Aegis of Assault still marks the target of 'Shielding Fire' until the end of the encounter and gets to mark other targets. Granted the Aegis of Shielding grants reduced damage and some minor amount of fire damage on the target, but I think that being able to teleport next to the target and make a free attack until the end of the encounter is pretty darn good too.
