Meh, I think it was just a scare tactic (which, of course, failed hilariously). V was not going to disintegrate Elan, though perhaps a well-placed enchantment or two to shut him up, I wouldn't put past our psychotic elf-mage.

Dude. Like...dude. That's entirely insane. I don't know if Vaarsuvius is just tired, or actually shifting on the alignment axis. No doubt s/he's a ultra-badarse, but I mean...dang. Also, here I was thinking Elan had gained a few extra Int points along the way, but apparently it was a fluke.

Also, man V is really, really not paying attention if s/he doesn't remember that Elan refused Therkla's advances. I mean, s/he was THERE when it happened!

Interesting. So what this strip suggests, is that I need to pass an Int check in order to be intimidated, one which I can intentionally fail to suffer no ill effect.

A bit like failing your will save to walk across a shadow conjuration stone wall bridge.

Damn, Elan just balanced out his recent competence with truckloads of fail. I know he's supposed to be something of a comic relief character, but that had to be the worst language comprehension job ever.

As for V, it needs to pass out for about a week and then get laid. I have no problem with evil characters but threatening to kill your friends is completely out of line for someone who is at worst supposed to be neutral.

Moving on... the comic has gotten a lot more "blue" lately, and V is hitting pretty below the belt. Perhaps this dog kicking was to better establish V's mental degradation for those who were clinging a bit hard to the Good V idea.

Also: V's Intimidate was blocked by Elan's Greater Obfuscating Stupidity

It's a bit chilling how close to death Elan was. I wonder if V is going to end up offing another PC before this book is through...

I am convinced V is going to turn into a Lich. As V got angrier and his/her eyes began to glow I thought the next panel would have V become a Lich. Probably V will start tearing his/her hair out in frustration.

I don't know about that. If Elan was just playing like he didn't get it, that would actually have been a really smart way to resolve the situation without directly challenging V.
