Considering killing him and such... I'd say DC is on his list. Dunno where on the list, but Alek's the type to deal with everyone on the list at the same time. As far as Draken, well, let's just hope he's too distracted by god-killing. As far as KR-15-B, DC is no longer practically unarmed, so that's not quite as threatening as it was before.

About this thing with portals and molotov cocktails: I don't mind portals in themselves, without them going between threads would make no sense. But portals appearing only for something flammable to be thrown out and suddenly closing before anyone can do anything about it... it's stretching it. The only thing GLoGers can do in such situation is to run around like crazy trying to put the fire out.

Each thread should exist in a vacuum, free from outside influences—especially those outside of these boards. What this means is that you can't carry over anger from a debate in another thread into a new discussion, and you can't harass anyone over anything they did in another thread, on another website's board, or in real life. I've said both, in very private talks, with Lex. And to be honest, I typically regard it as true. Very few characters seem... very "filling" to me. However, I guess this is hypocritical, as I've tied Rabbit down with nearly any flaw I could find and stomach to play.

In anycase, now that I've calmed down from earlier (I've had quite the temper today, unfortunately), I'll address this.

It is incredibly hard to be a villain for you folks. Lets face it; you have Magtok, me, Vespe, Kaela, Almighty Salmon, and Draken.
We're proper villains; we know and respect that if we permanently kill off any of you, part of the fun goes away. You need to understand that we know that; There is a way to win against any of us, and we want you to find it, just...in a way that's fun for us, too.
Because we want to have fun, just as much as you do, and you summoning your "fix-it-all" Goddess does really take away some of the experience.

I'm not throwing the entire blame at you guys; we've had our fair share. Draken can be very intimidating and forceful. When Ambrosius comes around more often, she'll be irritating as hell, but I'll try to put it on par with what you guys would like.
I think we all forget other people want fun, too, sometimes, and I'm just as guilty as the rest of you for this.
Lets all try to get along, player-wise, alright? Lets take into consideration that, while I may play a selfish, egocentric, philophobic, self-destructive necromancer and Draken may play...whatever the abyss it is Draken is, we're just people looking for fun, too.
Lets make compromises for the betterment of the group, and for the play.

First. I'm sorry. What started as a simple plee to stop godmodding into the base with constant portals that we can't stop, turned into the monster that M0rt still has quoted, even though I asked him to delete it. But he, deadtimed soon after.

Second, I realize that our great villains wish to have fun, also. I have always tried to not get carried away in stopping their PLOTS, until I can find a reason to have my character get out of the situation.

Like Melody being mindscrewed constantly by Alek. Lex being quite ineffectual against most of them. And TLG being very afraid of Teardrop (she's more a damsel, anyway).

Third, I don't know anything, anymore. I feel like Lex after she attacked Rabbit. I know I made an irredimable mistake, and there is nothing I can do to fix it. So, I just don't know where to go from here.

I'm sorry again, RHL. You are the one I hurt the most, and that I regret hurting, the most.

This is the same goddess that nuked her champions face, and stole half his power because his was misusing it?
Believe me we've had our hard knocks with this Goddess as well.

Rabbit, I'm trying to think of when we've used the goddess to 'fix everything', and I'm failing to come up with examples.

Her first appearance was to strip Fanboy of levels and make him less powerful. Other times she's shown up to comfort or to give advice. She helped Fan in the afterlife, but that's what deities are supposed to do. She intervened very minorly in the Draken plot to stop Turtle from getting hit with Love's Pain.

The only thing I can really think of is when Fan used her to avoid having his soul sucked out of his body by Vespe at a time when he was in the middle of roleplaying the farewell scene with Nil. Given the circumstances, I think that's forgiveable.

It's possible my (admittedly poor) memory is failing, so if you have any specific examples, then feel free to give them. But to my recollection, Neirian hasn't been the deus ex machina you're accusing her of being.

In any case, I meant any deus ex machina. On either side. That we all get so caught up in the hope of "winning" that we forget there are other people playing with us, and that "winning" isn't actually all that fun anyways.
...Why is it I have this feeling my point is going to be lost in nitpicking of specifics?

Okay, when Vespe complained about Neirain before, I thought it was IC, so I didn't bother addressing it. But if people have been thinking so OOC, then we have a miscommunication.

Up until now, she's been played either by Lex or me. I've now turned her completely over to Lex when she started interacting with people outside her three followers to keep her from being too schizophrenic. I don't think anyone would accuse Lex of being a powergamer or of playing to win, and he's since written a great backstory for her.

Her powers are fairly limited, but long before Vespe tried stealing Fan's soul, she'd been established in story as the Guardian of Souls, and the one who went to Hell to recover Fan's from Asmodeus. It really wouldn't make sense story-wise for her to just stand idly by while Vespe made off with it, and as long as that's your IC goal, you're going to have an uphill battle. I warned Vespe at the time that he was basically attacking her strongest point. It was his decision to keep going along those lines, and I think it could lead to some great storytelling. But it does mean that you shouldn't complain when she gets personally involved.

As to the rest of the discussion about deus ex machinas, I will stay out of it. I don't currently have any issues with anyone's roleplaying, so I leave that discussion to those of you who do.

I'm not complaining, and the whole Neirian situation was purely an example. Another (actual one) would be FS's instantly knowing the that Draken was involved and running to the Center, though nothing came of that.
Whether or not Neirian is used in such a context is irrelevant.
I was trying to wrap up the entire situation that I had started, and had continued between Draken and Fan.
Ugh.

Again, Rabbit is unable to choose the words to accurately portray what it is she'd like to say. I'm just going to leave this thread and leave all the debating to people who can talk pretty.

Edit- To reiterate; No, I'm fairly certain Vespe meant that all as IC.
When I thought of a random example, I should have said "like, hypothetically, a fix-it-all Goddess. Or a magic all powerful potato" instead of stating it like I did, which, in turn, made it look like I was singling Lex and Turtle out, when I'm shaking my finger at EVERYONE.
I'm not mad at Lex. I was angry much too much today to hold that little thing against her.
Rabbit is bad at trying to play negotiator, so she gives up and goes to sit on the sidelines, hoping everyone will get along despite her botched attempts.

The basic, bare bones fact is, we need to work together to make the stories fun for everyone.

The forums are only the stage. The players are the actors. And the characters are just that, characters that we play.

I don't know how to make us all work in harmony, any better than we really already have.

We generally get along, I think. At least, I hope we do.

Just to clarify, Vespe's complaints against Neirain are all IC, based on that one time he tried to steal Fan's soul, much like Vespe's hatred against Fanboy is based on the one time Fanboy was super-munchkinry-all-powerful-omgyouloselol-god-person.

Vespe has a problem with overreacting, methinks.

I'm well aware that I'm trying to steal the soul of a follower of a goddess of souls, which is, quite frankly, one of the dumbest things Vespe's ever done (and that's some stiff competition). But hey, he's got nothing better to do.

Should I? I can think of a few... I might even go as high as to make 100 words. No, this isn't a story I'm writing, but a language of slang to confuse the hell out of everyone. Of course I'll put up a dictionary in a certain wiki once I've made my character and I'm done writing everything.

I'm still relatively busy with my house, so I'll be active a little every day, but not really enough to do anything that requires instant responses and takes a long time.
